"Stayed in this apartment hotel for 2 nights in Apr23. We spoilt the hair dryer before we checked out, but could not inform the office as we checked out very early in the morning and the office was closed. The next day, I received an email informing us that they charged CHF500 to my credit card for spoiling the hair dryer and the TV. This is ridiculous. Their email mentioned that they gave us a perfectly working TV before we checked in. How can they accuse us for spoiling the TV a few minutes...

"This place is really nice - we had a great four nights here, and were very lucky with the weather as it rained lots just before we arrived (it is "mountain weather" so you get what you get). We arrived "out of hours" but this had been prearranged so there is a safe with pin codes which was easy enough to use and we got our key and instructions very quickly. "Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. There's a small supermarket that we didn't actually have to use, as we shopped out and about in the bigger towns. There is somewhere to get a coffee in the morning if you...

La terrazza esterna aggiunge un gran valore all'appartamento permettendo di mangiare/giocare/leggere all'aperto. "Laura was a great host. The apartment is quite a challenge to find for the first time , she was on hand to guide us . She also spent a lot of time giving us tourist ideas of where to go and what to see , and with WhatsApp she was always on hand to answer questions. The apartment was delightful, perfect for 2 people with everything you could need in it ( UK people , remember to bring a power adaptor to convert from Euro style to UK ) . "Es war alles perfekt. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche. Die Lage direkt am Wasser war nicht zu übertreffen. 2 Balkone mit direktem Blick auf den Sonnenaufgang. Wahnsinn. Selbst beim duschen mit Blick auf den Lago. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder und können diese Wohnung nur empfehlen."

"If you are in Lugano for the scenery this is an exceptional place to stay. View wise it has a great panoramic view of the lake where you can see central Lugano but also the surrounding towns. It has good public transportation access but is also completely walkable if you aren’t in a rush. The quarters themselves are pretty basic, the sofa was super comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. We don’t typically spend a lot of time indoors while traveling so it was ample for our needs....

"Wir (kleine Familie mit einjährigem Kind) wurden herzlich empfangen und umsorgt. Das Einfahren in den Hof benötigt etwas Mut und gute Kenntnisse des eigenen Fahrzeugs, es gibt aber auch kostenfreie Parkplätze die fussläufig in 2 Minuten zu erreichen sind. Wir haben im Hof ausgeladen und danach einfach draußen geparkt. Das Appartement ist simpel, hat aber alles was man zu zweit oder maximal zu dritt braucht. Der Garten mit dem Ausblick ist aber phänomenal!!!"

"Des l'accueil, nous avons été sous le charme de la situation géographique de la maison, au dessus du lac, et séduits par le décor ( même si nous avons été surpris de loger parmi les effets et bibelots de valeur et très personnels du propriétaire). Tout est fourni à volonté et on a largement profité de la piscine très agréable. Une expérience à vivre."
