"This was a beautiful piece of property to stay at in the city of Assisi. It was in a location that was very easy to access all the major Catholic holy sites. We took the city bus line up from the train station and were within a manageable walking distance from the bus stop. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafes near by. A major plus was having the police station just down the block, so we felt extremely safe walking around at night."

"We spent a very good three nights here. We drove, so Simone’s recommendation of the Saba Matteotti parking was helpful. It’s a 5 min walk downhill (uphill on the way back) to the apartment. He provides an Assisi local tourist card that gives you a couple of euros off the daily rate, so €12 a day. We parked in the open air because we missed the ramp down to the covered areas. "Our stay at Casamaggiore was perfect. The property was traditionally and simply styled, well supplied and met all our needs. The facilities were as advertised and we delighted in using the pool and tennis courts. The property is perfectly situated for day trips to explore the region. "The Brufani is one of the oldest hotels in Perugia. The location is very centrally located, yet up on the Hill so not too congested. My room was a bit tired looking from a design standpoint, but it was an oversized suite overlooking the entire valley below and a medieval tower just feet away. Ask for room 138. They also have a lovely outdoor terrace for the perfect place for an aperitivo. The included breakfast is wonderful and the staff fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And stay there again. Perugia is a great base to stay and do trips around the Umbrian region. Simply Stunning and less crowds than Tuscany. "
