"This was a beautiful piece of property to stay at in the city of Assisi. It was in a location that was very easy to access all the major Catholic holy sites. We took the city bus line up from the train station and were within a manageable walking distance from the bus stop. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafes near by. A major plus was having the police station just down the block, so we felt extremely safe walking around at night."

"The apartment is iconic Assisi - entrance through a fabulous stoned courtyard off of a cobbled stone street. The location is ideal - away from the crowds but in the heart of everything - only a few minutes walk to the main piazza. The apartment itself is very roomy (PLENTY of space) and impeccably clean. "The bed is the most uncomfortable and feels a piece of wood. Gave us backache every day. The owner should buy a new mattress!!!! One has to find an outlet to the toaster and everything. It was the worst we have stayed in VRBO. ."

"We arrived early and could check in. Used pool and jacuzzi overlooking Perugia. Lovely and relaxing at the end of the trip. First impressions of this ancient castle did not disappoint. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel and grounds were impressive. Room was very comfortable. Had a drink outside before dinner. Still taking it all in. Dinner was incredible. "As others have said, even more lovely than photos. We were 8 couples aged 23-77 for a week with room for more. A real advantage is the en suite bathroom situation, albeit some bathrooms and showers roomier than others. Highlight is outdoor dining patio where we took all meals given the mild September weather. Chef cooked two yummy dinners for us. Also glad we ordered villa owner’s olive oil and red wine. Short drive to major Umbrian sights. However, we recommend you go for lunch in nearby...
