"It's a very nice hotel. All rooms have a balcony and air conditioning. Minor issues in my room were dealt with quickly. There is a beach bar and a terrace bar on the top floor where the sunsets are glorious.
Just bear in mind that because of the hotel location, on the beach and in the middle of Santa Pola, it can get a little noisy at times."

"Great hotel ideal for a stopover before a flight and free secure underground parking when we were there. Very good buffet breakfast and dinner and bar prices very reasonable. It is located in the middle of a newish large industrial estate so no other bars or restaurants around without driving. Very quiet other than planes heading to Alicante airport to land; this obviously depends on wind direction. Clean modern bedrooms with walk in shower. Swimming pool was a bonus also. Like most Spanish hotel no kettles in the room."

"this was our second stay at the Hotel Gran Playa
within a year, we checked in late due to flight delays
from Madrid to Alicante in the historic (el Apagon)
black out in Spain the receptionist explained about the
black out and no electricity no lights in our room tired and
hungry from the ordeal and no bars or restaurants to go to, a lovely lady getting ready to go home after her shift
I was asking where we can get something to eat offered us pizza from the kitchen i think her name is Mercy, we owe her deep gratitude for caring
