"A very friendly and helpful host who set us up andade us feel very welcome. The house itself is well set up and is a great space for a family. It's a town house and faces a fairly busy road, but it's close to the seafront and we weren't aware of passing traffic once inside. It was a very rainy week so we didn't use the courtyard much but it look like a pleasant space for outdoor eating. Altogether a great town house over several floors."

I would happily have paid the full amount up front but there seemed to be no way to do so and we were advised that the full payment had to be made by 4 August. On the morning of 4 August I had still not heard from anyone and had to contact the host directly to find out how to. "Les Iris is a very beautiful, traditional house. We were warmly welcomed by Christine on arrival, the house was clean and well equipped, with a delightful garden sloping down towards the village 'green' and the river. There is ample seating to eat outside when the weather allows. A car is a must as there aren't any facilities within walking distance of the house. The village itself is charming, with mostly thatched 'chaumieres', it would benefit from a bar or taverne or cafe or basic shop, but...
