"The Podere is a really attractive and comfortable farmhouse on an Italian estate. There is lots of space inside and out. It is in a part of Tuscany slightly off the usual tourist patch, in wooded hills with fascinating volcanic rocks. Corso was helpful and full of good suggestions for our expeditions. Although a little remote, we used it as a base to visit Elba, Populonia, Porto San Stefano, Siena and Volterra as well as enjoying the beach. Because we were sightseeing so much, we probably did...

"The house is very spacious Just like the garden. We had to share the pool which we didn't know but that turbed out okay. The cutlery and crockery weren 't very clean maybe because the dishwasher didn't work properly. The host / property manager on the other hand was great and helpen us a lot with everything. "The house is as described. It is one half of a house, that is rented as well, so there can be other people around. A downside is that the house is up a steep hill. The road is small and needs some courage, but is totally do-able. We mostly drove by car instead of walking up and down. An upside is the cute neighbours cat, which visites occasionally. The landlady is very kind and even asked during the stay if everything is alright. All in all a great stay 👍"

Drive further south to Follonica for a good beach. Add good company, food and (local) wine and you have everything you could possibly need."

"Absolutely beautiful property in a beautiful location within three minutes walk of a wonderful old and charming town with great restaurants and some nice markets. Also air conditioned, which for most Americans (like us) is not a luxury but a must, though it didn't work in one bedroom and the study, which just meant one of us slept downstairs. Pool was nice.
