"This is a good hotel for travelers. Overall, it shows its age. But it is clean and well maintained. They were having an issue with the elevator when I was there, but they kindly offered me a first floor room. I find the staff here to be very helpful. My room was excellent. It had been renovated and was extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked great. And the bathroom was in great order."

"It was good. It is a solid hotel but nothing out of the ordinary except it sits on the tennis courts. It is disappointing that breakfast is not prepared at the time they tell you. Friday morning breakfast was at 6:00. At 6:10 all lights off and nothing is out. People sitting in the dark. The person came out and said when do you expect most of the people to come down. Very odd."

"Our sink faucet would not fully turn off. We had to turn it to hot to get it to stop leaking The faucet was very loose. The door to the shower and toilet area had globs of white paint on it. It was clean and didn't smell. However other guests that smoked were next door and they would smoke outside and on the stairs. We had to walk by them. Not acceptable."

"This is the second time that we’ve stayed at this hotel while biking on the Silver Comet/Chief Ladiga Trail. They’ve gone through some upgrades since our last stay. We had been riding for 4 1/2 hours in the nonstop pouring rain. I wiped out on a hairpin curve on the trail a mile and a half from the hotel. I arrived to check in dripping blood and muddy water on the floor, visibly shaken. The lovely young lady behind the counter immediately rushed to give me a towel and assured me that it was no problem that I was making a mess of her floor. She even provided me with Band-Aids for my injuries. Hot coffee was available in the lobby. There was no issue with us bringing our bikes into the room for the night. Rooms were spotless and ours even had a huge Jacuzzi tub! That was a wonderful surprise! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is biking on the trail."
