"This hotel has its good side and bad side. The good sides were that the hotel had breakfast and a amazing view of the city. The bad side was that there was no AC in the room and rooms and super small. If you open the balcony door at night, you will hear the street noises and the beds were uncomfortable. I would recommended staying there for one or two night. "

"We enjoyed staying at the Mar Inn. Christine at the front desk showed us the map of the city and guided us to a couple of very good restaurants. Breakfast was very good as well. Close to the cloud forest and a Sloth sanctuary. Tip, park at the parking lot that says Offical Parking & take the shuttle, there is really no parking at the park entrance. "

"Short walk to Monteverde reserve. It is really peaceful and has a beautiful patio where you can watch wildlife. Can easily catch a bus to get into town, but is more isolated and peaceful compared to the busy town. Saw monkeys and toucans on the walk to the reserve. "

"This is a beautiful place. After a week of travelling around Costa Rica, this was a quiet and restful place to prepare for our trip home. The birds and butterflies were very busy in the morning, and the view is very beautiful. It is located less than one hour from the San Jose airport, and the town of San Ramon has many options for dining. The hosts were excellent, and a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast was provided, including perfect gallo pinto. I highly recommend Casa Amanecer."
