About this property

Center Harbor Lake Escape | Private Dock

  • Summary:

Escape to New Hampshire’s Lakes Region in this inviting 4-bedroom, 3-bath Center Harbor home with Squam Lake access. With six beds, including a queen ensuite, it’s ideal for families and groups. Explore nearby lakes, hiking trails, Meredith, Moultonborough, and Squam Lake, then return to a peaceful home base with plenty of space to relax—perfect for summer vacations and fall foliage trips.

    The Space:

Welcome to your Squam Lake getaway—a charming four-bedroom home where classic New Hampshire character, peaceful waterfront surroundings, and relaxed family living come together. Set among the trees in Center Harbor, the home offers direct access to Squam Lake, a private dock, and inviting spaces where families and friends can reconnect, slow down, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Lakes Region.

When entering the home, you’ll first step into a practical and thoughtfully arranged foyer. A wooden bench provides a convenient place to sit while putting on or removing footwear, while a double row of wall-mounted wooden peg hooks offers space for jackets, backpacks, and outdoor gear. A built-in wood-paneled alcove adds extra storage with shelving for board games, additional lower bench space, and hanging rods for coats.

From the foyer, continue into the warm, cabin-style living room, where knotty-pine walls, slate flooring, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful details give the home its unmistakable New England charm. Wall-to-wall picture windows fill the room with natural light and offer views through the screened porch toward the trees and Squam Lake beyond.

The room’s books, artwork, and comfortable gathering spaces create a welcoming, lived-in atmosphere—more like a beloved family lake house than a conventional vacation rental. It is an inviting place to read, play a board game, share stories, or simply enjoy the quiet surroundings.

Please note that the home does not have air conditioning or TV. The property is designed for a more unplugged Lakes Region experience so guests should plan accordingly especially during warmer weather.

Wood stove is also not available for guest use.

The kitchen is equipped with the essentials you need for everything from quick breakfasts to relaxed family dinners. Amenities include Full-size refrigerator, stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and toaster.

With four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, the layout works especially well for multi-generational families, couples traveling together, and groups with children.

    The sleeping arrangements include:

    ✔ Bedroom 1 — Two twin beds

    ✔ Bedroom 2 — Full bed

✔ Bedroom 3 — Queen bed with private ensuite bathroom

    ✔ Bedroom 4 — Two twin beds

    Outdoor Area

The screened-in porch is one of the home’s most inviting spaces, offering a peaceful place to experience the sights and sounds of Squam Lake. Settle into an Adirondack chair with your morning coffee, enjoy an outdoor meal around the wooden dining table, or unwind in the evening as the light changes over the water and surrounding woods.

From the home, make your way to the private dock and enjoy direct access to Squam Lake. Guests are welcome to bring and dock their own boat up to 17 feet during their stay. Water around the dock may be shallow depending on current lake levels, so guests should assess conditions carefully before docking.

Please note that kayaks and canoes are not provided.

Beyond the home itself, the setting puts you in an ideal location for experiencing New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. Start the morning with a scenic drive, spend the afternoon exploring the water or nearby trails, and return home for a relaxed evening together.
