"It was like being in Canmore or Banff in the middle of industrial area. Cool. Unique. Wood and natural look. Comfy bed. Clean room. Great value. Breakfast had tons of choices. Would stay here again for sure!!"

"If you are travelling with a pet, it’s better to call the hotel directly as online booking doesn’t let you indicate you want a pet friendly room, even though the hotel is pet friendly. Sometimes pet friendly rooms are limited and not available. Not an issue this time as we were upgraded to a much nicer chalet."

"Bathroom is dirty with cigarette burn marks on sink , shower head is clogged with calcium residue, shower valve is not working, half of water current comes out from the bottom, bathtub drain is clogged who knows with what , the whole building is old and falling a part ."

"Check in was lovely. The staff at the property were very friendly and helpful. They had welcome drinks in the lobby after a long drive they were great! We were assigned room 124. The room had two queen beds. One bed was great, the other was sunken on one side so you had to stay close to the middle or else you would be rolled off. The worst part was the temperature in the room. We ran the A/C on the coldest setting. However, in 24 hours it did not even come close to cooling the room down. We left the window open all night so the overnight spring temps would cool the room. On a hot summer day it would be awful! The pool is amazing and warm! The hot tubs were set at 40C. We enjoyed the property and we're able to walk to shops for breakfast. Overall, it was a good stay but for the price tag I would hope for amazing."

"First impressions were excellent - a spruced-up lobby and breakfast room, exterior looked fresh, check-in friendly and efficient. Once in the room a slight decline - obviously and older property that's been renoed, bathroom door really should be taken off, sanded down, rehung as it stuck terribly at the top. TV & fridge newer, mattresses decent, plenty of pillows; breakfast next day was solid - a few pastries on top of the usual offerings. While a little out of town - not that Hinton's got much of a 'downtown core' anyway! - the Greek resto nextdoor was very good so we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else for our overnight stay. Just two sour notes, one of which we could have found ourselves: we would have gotten 10% off at the resto if we'd shown our room keys, which was mentioned in the hotel spiel in the room but wasn't mentioned at check-in. So it would have better to be told verbally too, guests with non-native English would benefit especially - we felt the price was fair already, and we read fluently, so it's not a complaint more a suggestion to improve! While everything felt structurally sound, there were several metalwork pieces in the stairs/upper walkway that were not just rusty but completely rusted through, enough you could see through holes to the other side - between these and the sticking bathroom door we felt like maintenance standards could be significantly improved. If we're back in the area we would stay again."
