"This is a great place to relax, but there is not a lot to do at the hotel or within walking distance. The plunge pools with villa are fantastic! Due to the tides in the area, you can only swim in the ocean at high tide, and the water has a lot of seaweed. The restaurant is amazing, we really enjoyed all of our meals and the staff were always friendly and helpful."

"I stayed at Backpackers before this is not backpacker anymore. Price of beer is $4 cocktail $8. Not eco anymore they have English toilets. Price of room is higher than nearby B&B. Everyone who was staying was complaining about the prices. This place used to be really nice and affordable and staff were friendly. Even new staff don’t seem to like working there. WiFi didn’t work at all so I couldn’t work. "

"This place was amazing. The ambience and design was very coastal like with sea shells everywhere. It was right at the waterfront too and staff were very friendly and helpful. It was easily walkable to access other beaches and beach activities and the coral reef was accessible by boats from 10 am to like 2 pm. Malls were also just a 15 minute drive away. It was such a breath taking experience and I think this is where we shall always stay when we visit Mombasa again! "

The restaurant service however was very poor and made it less interesting to utilize due to the difficulty of ordering. "Do not book this hotel! This is a scam hotel. It doesn’t exist. I booked it and on arrival at night time in Malindi spent over an hour in a taxi looking for it. It is not at the location on google maps and the telephone number is out of service. Even hotels.com could not contact the hotel. I even returned in the morning in daylight to see if I could find the place and no nothing there! The whole experience was distressing and now I am faced with getting a refund which I am assured by hotels com...
