"My room had a princess balcony that opened on to a pretty courtyard with an orange tree. Despite being in the centre of town, a 3-minute walk from the station, it was lovely and quiet. Room was comfortable and had its own mini coffee machine. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast was a surprise. There was a whole table full of home-made sweet and savoury dishes: tarts, filled croissants, crême caramel, clafoutis, breads, as well as the yoghurt, fruit, French cheeses and hams in the fridge. Well...

"We loved our stay at Hotel Victor Hugo. The location was superb: a beautiful tree lined residential neighborhood with stately buildings, but also close to the Prommenade Anglais and Old Town. Giles, the proprietor, was extremely helpful. He is an excellent resource for restaurants, museums, public transport, etc. and came to our aid when my partner realized he had left two important medications at home in the USA. Giles located a pharmacy able to help us on a Sunday when most French pharmacies...

"Great location, near to beach and shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was useful to be able to leave our bags for a few hours when we checked out. The room was small for an apartment, and the decor is slightly dated. It was great to have the kitchen facilities to make our own food. "
