Full of interesting antiques, a comfy bed with a snug classic quilt, Our hostess Eileen was such fun, with lots of interesting conversation and quirky insights. A lovely relaxed atmosphere with everything we needed. If you like something a little different, enjoy the Old Vic. "

"Loved our stay here. It’s a quiet and serene location. Room is clean and comfortable. Plenty of wood for the fireplace . Large wide verandah to enjoy the tranquility. Walked to circa 1876 restaurant only 5 mins away. "

"Maddie’s is a beautiful character home. Our room was absolutely sparking clean and beautifully furnished. The staff went beyond what we expected, even provided a sewing kit and set up an ironing board! A full delicious breakfast was served topped off with freshly made muffins and barista-made coffee. This was our first stay but definitely will not be our last!"

"Even before we arrived, I knew we would have a great experience, mainly because of a series of email exchanges with Richard. On arrival and for 5he 2 days we were there, we were impressed with the detail and thoughtfulness of this hospitality. Beautiful house on top of a hill, close to the vieneyards and concert venue, excellent breakfasts and the added extra of transport to and from bimbadgen made this a stay to remember. "Quiet, handy location bespoke."

"We stayed here for one night at the weekend with my baby girl, husband and 2 couple friends. The house was amply spaced for the 7 of us, it had everything we needed including oil, coffee, a lovely selection of tea. It’s the perfect comfortable base to the hunter region. I cannot recommend this place enough. To top it off, communication with Jodie the host was quick, easy and hassle free- overall a great experience and we’ll cherish forever."

"It all went well, apart from the way the extra cost for having a pet was revealed - felt like it was done slightly underhand. No reflection on the owner, was not his fault. But the home itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed, was nice to have breakfast included"

"This is the second time in 2 years that we have stayed here, it is so central to the vineyards whilst also being off the main roads of Cessnock, the hosts accommodate people travelling with their dog, the house is well set up, there is a lovely outdoor area, safe yard for dog with a safe indoor area for a dog to stay in also, we enjoy it here and will return again next year!"
