"Place was near the center of Chapala. House could have been better for what was paid. We paid too much for little ammenteties. No hot water for shower as well as low pressure. Loud noises every night. Multiple items broken; sink knobs, towel racks, shower heads. TV hardly worked with little channel/stream options. "It was a horrible experience at this hotel/bed and breakfast. If you want to stay in an old Mexico hacienda with everything else following that pattern, then stay at your own risk. First off, the road is being worked on so be aware that you will not be dropped off at the property. It’s hard for me to believe this hotel has gotten such great remarks. The rooms are muggy and filled with oversized furniture. We found several bugs in the room and one on the bed. Luckily for us we had a unit with air-conditioning. We were very happy that worked. Don’t stay anywhere that doesn’t have ac in the town. The bed in the room is the worst we have ever slept on. I don’t think it’s been replaced in about 20-25 years. The towels smelled horrible. The mini-refrigerator in the room did not work (did not cool). The breakfast is very minimal at best and was not appetizing. It was a really bad experience and we cut our two night reservation in half and left early. We asked for a refund and/or at least a partial one however the hotel would not honor that."
