Propery is beautiful and a close walk to shops and Restutants. Ryan is great! Charming propery!! Skip the breakfast and eat in town. Magnolias was very good!

Excellent location, and nice walk along the water into the French Quarter. We stayed in the main house on the third-floor suite for three nights. The first floor is like a museum, the second floor a couple of nice rooms, and the third floor has two large suites with park view and an up-dated nice shower. Note though: no elevator, not much parking, limited continental breakfast options, and we thought housekeeping did a very, very minimal job not worthy of a 5-star hotel. She did not vacuum, wipe the table off from breakfast, replenish the coffee food table, and the TV in the extra room had a cable problem and would not work. There is no mini fridge in the room or safe. Plenty of room and chairs, but we though there could have been more comfortable chairs. We loved staying in a famous historical house but wish room house cleaning was significantly improved.

Loved staying here! The property, inside and out, was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The view of the park and the river across the street was lovely. All the positives make up for the location being a bit further from restaurants and bars, although within walking distance depending on your abilities. We’d stay here again!

20 South Battery Bed and Breakfast is a gem. The check-in was seamless. Parking is on the street. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were professional, friendly and happily responded to any request or question we may have had. There is a tour of this historic home twice daily which provided history of the property and owners. We enjoyed our breakfast in the garden. 20 South Battery is on a very quiet street, across from White Point Garden and a short walk to the french quarter. We enjoyed our vacation in Charleston and would definitely stay at 20 South Battery again.

The property is stunning. The room was comfortable, though it could have used more storage space. The plumbing is up-to-date, which is always a concern when booking a vintage property. The various on-duty managers were always friendly, charming and helpful. And it is delightful staying in this neighborhood! I would vigorously recommend this hotel.

Beautiful property, spotless room, sweetest staff, and great location on the Battery. Loved the option to have daily breakfast in our room. My favorite part was enjoying the rocking chair on the beautiful evenings on the large porch. Would absolutely go back!!

If you are looking for a place to stay and experience the history of Charleston, i highly recommend this special place. Furnished in period antiques and featuring carefully restored and maintained rooms, but with a few modern upgrades, this home is fantastic. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a wonderful visit.

Beautiful historic boutique hotel with all the southern charms. Comfortable, clean with some nice extra touches like free water and brekky. Also free parking across the street and right near the waterfront. Within walking distance of King Street and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
