We loved this hotel and its location to king street. That bikes were so fun to ride around town and that is mainly how we got around was using their bikes or walking. Thank you for the drinks and breakfast foods provided! This was such a lovely stay we will be back.
Room is very clean and nice. Cozy!! Beautiful bath. 2 flights of stairs a bit rough but, but a better price so we took it! Nice, off street parking and near to town to walk there!
Breakfast was convenient and great for me, but many people might find it minimal. The overall place was nice. The room had a nice size bed (king) but the mattress needs to be replaced. Great access to an upstairs shared porch. The bathroom was nice but small. It was difficult to adjust the heat. Parking was great for small cars. Overall good experience in a historic building.
Great location, minimal breakfast items. We had "basic" room downstairs and it was not very quiet both from folks coming and going inside the property and external noise from vehicles and construction equipment. Met our needs and price points. Parking on property is a plus and proximity to MUSC Hospital is great. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom.

Dark, raining and we couldn’t get in. No one was
around. Had to call and someone helped me to get in
Why are you even sending me this review? Your service is so horrible. I could not get into my room and was left out in the freezing cold at midnight. I called your damn service number multiple times and no one answered or called me back. I woke up other guests at your property and no one could help me. Your directions were not clear to where my room was and I kept trying to enter the 4 digit code onto the locks on the wall to get my room key. I walked up the sketchy metal stairs i saw when I came up from the parking lot "on the left" but there were no doors that had key code entry. I tried the door code on another door into what looked like a lobby area and it did not work. I called multiple times and NO ONE would answer your damn service line and I had no car so I walked, dragging my luggage a half mile at midnight, in 33 degree weather, freezing, to a Comfort Inn. I requested a full refund and still have not received it!! If you would have just answered your phone to HELP me this all could have been avoided. This made my trip to Charleston HORRIBLE, and I never want to come back! You are in the SERVICE industry. If no one is ON PROPERTY, you should at least answer your damn phone!!

Stayed in room 7 on top floor and it was lovely. Beautiful new bathroom. It was a good walk to the French Quarter but we don't mind exercise. There were plenty of options for grab and go breakfast and a nice sitting area. The air conditioner was so loud that we needed to switch turn the cooling off at night. The internet was terrible and did not allow us to watch TV or stream anything for more than a few minutes without buffering. And it usually buffered for 2-10 minutes. So don't plan on working online without your own hotspot. Other than that, the staff person was very friendly and the room was well-appointed.

Room was clean and comfortable. Off-street parking was a big bonus. BEWARE: I missed any mention in the reservation process that there was no elevator. Our room turned out to be on the third floor and the stairs from 2nd to 3rd floor is quite steep and narrow.
Unique property. Easy self check in and check out. Loved having direct access from the room to a big veranda. Small bathroom with no bathtub. Convenient location. Loved the wallpaper and room decor.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Peeling wallpaper, multiple access doors had air gaps wide enough to light up the room from outside. Leaking refrigerator, no cups for in room coffee maker (we found some on our own downstairs).
Although the place from the outside is attractive and quaint, it all ends there. What you cannot tell from the pictures is that it is across the street from a major Medical Center. This means there are cars driving by all day and night and sirens are going off. The building has original windows, and the noise is extensive. We arrived, and the refrigerator was not ready to fill; we had to put the shelves in straight so it could hold our items. Please note that there is no freezer section to this refrigerator. The WiFi connection was spotty at best. It was out more than it was intact. As a result, the TV would cut in and out. The floors had a strange substance on them that was oily or greasy, which was particularly difficult on the tile floors in the bathroom. The sink did not adequately drain either. The bed was comfortable and towels were of decent quality. The morning breakfast was one choice—a warmed bagel with American cheese, a rubbery fried egg, and some kind of chicken…awful! They did have a variety of drinks to take with you i.e. water, sodas, but no Milk or OJ for non-coffee drinkers. They had bikes to use…and in good weather…everything is doable on a bike but nothing of interest is really in walkable distance, which means you end up paying parking fees when you go to see points of interest. We will not be back…a disappointment overall for the amount paid!
Downstairs they had plenty of water , soda , coffee all day breakfast sandwiches morning , afternoon yogurt parfees! Paid $167 first night , $299 second night , compared to other hotels in area at $600 to $1000 a

Patio was worn down, pads on seats were dirty, lights were out at night until I called and complained because we couldn’t sit in patio. Cockroaches in my room twice, main room & bathroom, outlets didn’t work, only bath outlet worked, had to call and leave message, bed lamps didn’t work at all. communication was by phone/text. Had to wait till next day to get clean towels because no staff on premises. Only saw 1 staff person two times for a short period. Fireplaces in rooms and downstairs are only for looks?? The only thing that was suitable was suitable was the Nespresso coffee makers and water bottles from Costco. Pictures on website must be from years ago right after touch up paint, wall paper and new fixtures. sad to say wouldn’t recommend. We would have been better off at Hampton inn or Holiday inn
Great access in a safe area, next to the Medical University of South Carolina. Parking was free and MUCH appreciated for a medium sized SUV. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants , even the water front
We will most definitely be back . The price was very reasonable for the area, downtown and the size of room
#7 was nice !!!!
Stayed at this beautiful B&B for nights, loved the straight forward but fresh filled bagel and yoghurt options for breakfast, also the available drinks and snacks. Was lucky to have gorgeous weather and enjoy our breakfast on the wrap around porch. The neighborhood was safe and friendly. Accommodation prob 10-15 min walk from downtown but we easily booked Ubers, the on site parking was great meaning we could easily access our car and also get onto the interstates to visit further afield. Only gripe was our room was a little bit dark sine brighter lighting would make some tasks easier for those of us without 20/20 vision.
