This place is a find! Price is low for what you get, and much lower than other nearby properties. Breakfast buffet is delicious and ample, rooms are spacious and clean, and staff is friendly and prompt. Location is excellent, close to I-77 but not noisy. It's in a charming suburb with a nice downtown, Cornelius, and near Davidson, with highly-reputed Davidson College which has a beautiful campus. Nearby Lake Norman is large, pretty and lined with beautiful homes.

Check in was easy, staff was very kind and welcoming. Room upon initial inspection was great. You can tell they are still renovation but for the price and quality I was impressed. Breakfast was exceptional. Clean and well kept breakfast space. There was a loud party of some sorts going on below me which did in fact keep me up till 3 am when the music subsided. But other than that I have no complaints. I would book again 9/10 experience. The tv also could be mounted, it was a little hard to look down onto the bench where tv was sitting once laying in bed.

Room was just okay. Bed was fine but very basic as far as linens. Frig was dirty. Tub drain did not close completely, allowing water to drain while trying to soak. Although breakfast started @ 7am, the coffee machine was being cleaned at 8am thereby delaying having coffee with breakfast.

We didn't realized this place is under construction/renovation at the time we visited. I came in late around close to 11pm or so and said hi to the front desk clerk and she didn't acknowledged nor respond to my greeting. I said hi again and again but then there's still no response from her (she was on her phone)... Then she realized that I'm in front of her from her view against the glass window with the reflection of mine. And she said i startled her. Other than that, she customer service is ok. When going toward our assigned room, from the front lobby to the elevator to our room, most are covered with plastic linings on the carpet from the renovation i think, and inside the elevator's floor are partially ripped from the renovation work as well. The room we were in was with some minor spots of stains (dried blood or some sort), from the window curtains and from the bathroom's wall. The pillows are with a couple of long hair strings as well. Not to mention the surroundings of the premises are mostly accompanied with lots of dumped mattresses and old furniture and their main, front entrance are being blocked with yellow construction tapes (renovation work). Overall experience was ok. Nothing major to report other than the renovation work allover the premises. Oh, the room didn't have any iron/iron board for use, and asking them without any spare for use either. We might give it another shot (after the renovation work).

This is a fair and honest WARNING to everyone. This place is a complete SCAM. It should not be listed on Expedia. The photos are fake. The reviews are fake. The business conducted by these people should be considered criminal. When we arrived to the property, it was a DUMP. Again, the photos and reviews are FAKE. To top it off, someone ran inside the lobby screaming they got STABBED right by the entrance as I was complaining about the SCAM and CATFISH they did to my husband and I. We obviously did not stay and Expedia issued a refund. Someone is risking catching a disease by just walking into the place.

If you have any other options, do not stay here. The front desk employee was nice and good at her job. That's the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. And I am not someone who needs pristine conditions; I have stayed in plenty of budget hotels. The hotel is doing renovations, so there are some areas where there is tape on the ground, areas closed off, etc., which was not an issue. That did not bother us. What did is that the room was disgusting. I cannot imagine it had been cleaned recently. Black stuff was coming out of the air conditioner, the couch looked like it had been pulled straight from a dumpster, there was a creepy bug on the curtains, the floor looked dirty, there was no soap or any toiletries at all in the bathroom, no iron or place to hang clothes, a hair dryer that smelled like it was on fire when I turned it on, and the sink felt greasy. We just needed a place to sleep and were leaving early the next morning, or else we would've immediately left and found somewhere else. Please, if you are reading this, just pick a different hotel!!!!
