"That was maybe my 4th time staying and everything was good. They put me in a front room (which I prefer). The only thing that was different and or messed up this visit was the shower/tub was leaking/broken and the lady that normally is there every year wasn't there to check me in this year. Overall good stay as normal. I'll be back next year."

"My family and I stayed for the Memorial Day weekend, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. This house was absolutely beautiful! The house had everything we needed. Everything was labeled so we were able to find anything we needed with ease. There is so much provided for the guests. The number of games we had access to make this a true winner for the kids. The location was perfect, and the water access was just what we wanted. This was truly the perfect weekend away. Edie was great! Will definitely be retuning soon!"

"Our family of four generations enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend at The Great Escape. It is a lovely property, well maintained and with plenty of fun activities for any age. The views are amazing from most any room in the home. I love that the owners pay great attention to detail and ensure that guests have access to everything needed during the stay and has provided meticulous notes to assist with a stress free visit! My niece, a local TV anchor, enjoyed the visit enough to mention how wonderful our visit to Lake Gaston was during her news broadcast! Truly a splendid family trip!"
