"This was a great find. The hotel is in a quiet area, not far from the railway station and a short walk from the town centre. The staff were very helpful and friendly and obviously used to dealing with foreign guests. There is a choice of basic or full buffet breakfast for a fee (about €7 for the basic one, about twice that for the full breakfast). This is available from 07:00, which is helpful if you have an early flight. The hotel has a nice pool, with a shady garden and sunloungers as well as outdoor seating, and you can get drinks from the bar to sip while relaxing. The room was airconditioned, which worked very well, and which we very much appreciated in the 37C heat! We felt it was a good price, especially compared with hotels in La Rochelle at the same period. Bergerac itself is fairly small, but has a good range of restaurants and other amenities. It is easy to walk around and there is a regular free shuttle bus that goes between the station, the centre and the waterfront, if you don't want to walk. There is a large tourist information centre close to the waterfront, with a wine centre offering free tastings. You can also get a boat trip on the Dordogne in a replica gabarre (flat-bottomed boat). We watched the solar eclipse from the old bridge, which was spectacular, but obviously a one-off event. Overall, highly recommended. We look forward to going back!"

"The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The pool was a welcome facility in the 38° heat and was well maintained and clean. A continental breakfast was available for an additional fee (10€ adults 5€ kids). The hotel was a short walk from the old town of Bergerac so well situated for shopping, eating out and sightseeing. There was secure parking available for a fee but there was also plenty of free parking in a public car park next door. Would definitely recommend this hotel."
Charming 17th century house on 1 ha of land 4 minutes from Bergerac

"We had a lovely 3-week holiday with our family of four. Our two children enjoyed the big garden with lots of space to play. The covered outdoor area was great for coffee/lunch/dinner outside. We enjoyed the sun loungers during the evening, great to read a book and enjoy a glass of wine (mosquito repellent advised). We loved the living room and the furniture, which made a great space to relax, to read and for the children to enjoy their games and to do crafts. The kitchen was especially nice and cosy and had all the utensils that we needed. The bedrooms had enough space for an extra cot for our youngest. All our questions were quickly answered and dealt with by the host/concierge.The closest supermarkets are a 7 minute car ride away. Bergerac city centre is a 10 minute drive with ample parking space, so great to do some shopping or just to go for an ice cream. We went to the restaurant Le Bistrot du Presbytère in Queyssac twice for lunch, which was under a 15 minute car ride. We also visited the chateaus De Biron and De Bridoire, especially the latter one was a favourite with the kids with all the games and activities. Also the cloister of Cadouin and the beach and village of Limeuil are highly recommended. And last but not least: Parc de Pombonne is only 4 minutes away and is still our favourite place to swim and enjoy the beach, with La Guinguette as a place to get food and drinks. The holiday home was always a nice and quiet place to return to after a day of activities!"

"This is a truly stunning location with open views and very peaceful. Bergerac is less than 10 minutes drive and we found some other amazing medieval towns within a short driving distance. There are lake and river activities very close by with vineyards on your doorstep.The property is beautiful and is of a high standard and the pool is ideal.The owners are wonderful, very helpful and very nice people to speak with. We invited them to visit in England as we now consider them friends! Their two dogs are two of the best dogs you will ever meet, wanting to play and be fussed over, extremely gentle and very well trained.Overall this is one of the best holidays we as a family have had and much of this was due to the hospitality of Coralie and Christophe!Amazing vacation location, go and visit!!!!"
