A gem. Nestled in the countryside near Bergerac is this beautiful country house. We were only staying for one night as part of a longer trip, but next time we will surely stay for more nights. Pauline gave us a lovely tour on check-in. The room was spotless and air conditioned. We booked into the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and it was a wonderful experience. The gardens were peaceful, with incredible views. During dinner we experienced an incredible thunderstorm, which was brilliant to watch.

Great hotel and wonderful views

Beautiful hotel in an out of the way setting. Superb vistas from the gardens. The hub of the hotel is the restaurant where the staff seem to focus. Trying to get a drink whilst sitting in the garden is a but hit and miss. Very disappointing that the hotel does not appear to keep in reserve a few restaurant tables for guests. We had to eat out.

The building and the grounds were beautiful. The decor was for us very old fashioned. A matter of opinion I’m sure and probably very French but the old pictures and stuffed animals were slightly too much. Having said that the restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast. We arrived very late and a very kind gentleman, stayed on to check us in. I’m sure in the summer months when the sun is shining and the pool is open it would be even more beautiful.

We stayed in the separate accommodations near the pond. Quite unique and beautiful. Staff was great, the grounds are beautiful, and the dinner was among the best we had in France. Staff was delightful. Would definitely go back.

Magnifique vue avec coucher de soleil de la chambre. Magnifique propriété. Grande chambre avec climatisation. Calme sans télévision. Adaptation au régime pour le petit déjeuner. Nous aurions préféré une couette plutôt qu’une couverture.
