"Nice cabin made out of rough cut lumber makes a nice family retreat. Love the building and location that appears to have been built by the owner. Plenty of room for 8 of us with beds with linens and room to spread out. It's on a small cliff side on the lake with a beautiful deck, stairs down to the water, and a dock on the water. I can't believe some old reviews criticize the amount of stairs? It's on a cliff side, what do they want ladders? Crazy. The stairs are very sturdy with a nice hand rail all the way down.It seems the bathroom, shower and kitchen were recently renovated with a tile shower, cabinets, counters etc... some older reviews talk about the poor shower etc... it's no longer true.Be aware it has no central heat or air, IMO it should say that at the top of the description. It was in the high 40's when we arrived and cold in the cabin. After looking everywhere for a thermostat I finally realized there was not one and found space heaters in the closets and it took a bit to warm it up. It does say in one little spot in the description it's "seasonal", and when I contacted the property manager about the lack of heat that's what she said, but is not at all clear in the description, and it does not say what "seasonal" means, I didn't think it meant no heat, to me that means only rentable in certain seasons? It should clearly say no central heat or AC. Oddly the outside doors are only held shut by cheap slide bolts that don't work right. Buy dead bolts please! "

"This property was beautiful, located just a stone throw from the lakes edge. The owners were extremely friendly, the type of friendly you can only find in a small town. They gave excellent recommendations, we ate at both the Scale House and Babes Burgers during our visit. We enjoyed smores and coffee by the fire pit. All we could hear was the hundreds of birds, perfect place to get away. I feel like the photos on the listing dont capture the charm of the cabin so i took some myself. Thanks again Susan & Henry"

The master suite was a dream, with a truly breathtaking bathroom and the perfect getting-ready space for our group. Plus, the location couldn’t be better—just minutes from some of the best wineries on the lake. I would stay here over and over again. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate. "House was very clean. Decks, patio and view of the lake was fantastic. Great location, close to a number of wineries and distilleries. Loved the amount of kitchen supplies. We had 7 adults which can go thru a lot of dishes quickly. Lots of space for everyone to relax. Parking can be challenging with the steepness of the driveway. Would definitely book it again."
