Blue Ivy will steal your heart away with its inviting beauty. It’s close to everything you want, nature, downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Cloudland Canyon and scenic views. Only 10 min to town! This bright modern cottage is nestled among trees on gorgeous Lookout Mountain with views of the downtown city lights from the deck. Its beautiful design will invite you to want to come back for every special occasion. Come bring your sweetheart to Blue Ivy, it's perfect.

The cottage property backs up to a 3000 acre National Military Park, and it is within walking distance to some of the best hiking trails in the southeast. This home provides a perfect getaway for couples or small families.

Blue Ivy has one bedroom with a cozy queen bed and storage space for your luggage or a pack n play.
The bathroom is located off the bedroom and has a bathtub and shower combo. The bedroom has a door for privacy from the living and dining area. The TV is located across from the sofa. It's a smart TV that you can sign into any of your own personal streaming accounts or use ours. An antennae is located behind the TV for local channels. We do not have cable. The sofa is a sleeper sofa, It folds out to accommodate two extra guests.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. It has a full sized stove and refrigerator, a small microwave, a drip coffee maker and a toaster.

Blue Ivy is not pet friendly. We are not insured to accommodate pets. Please inquire about our awesome recommended pet sitter 5 minutes away from Blue Ivy!

The Blue Ivy home is very lovely. It’s in a forest like setting up on a mountain. There’s a lot of privacy and it’s very peaceful. The amenities are wonderful.

Dreamy cabin in the woods

My husband and I stayed here for a short escape from work. We loved it. The house is cozy, the art is great, the grounds are private yet close to everything you could want or need. :) 10/10 recommend!

Tennessee Vacay

We very much enjoyed Blue Ivy and all of Tennessee. This place gave us everything we were looking for; quiet, amazing location, convenience, comfort, and everything we needed to be comfortable. We look forward to returning in the future.

Location was great, cottage could use some landscaping, bathroom toilet need some work, coffee pot still had a used filter with old coffee in it and the coffee pot was not clean. Other than that a nice quiet hideaway for two.

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Chattanooga. We came across Blue Ivy when looking for places to stay and thought it looked cute. It did not disappoint! We absolutely loved our time at Blue Ivy. Katie and John were very helpful! We can’t wait to come back!

Chattanooga, lookout mountain

The home was small as shown in pictures. The floor in the bathroom has a big downward slope. My family became off balance when walking in there at night with the nights off. The coffee maker didn’t work when we got there for our first morning but the owner was quick to have one delivered. Other than the bathroom the home was nice.

Didn't get to go

Unfortunately, we didn't get to make this trip. We were originally booked in late November but our son got an unexpected leave from his active duty in the Air Force. The owner allowed us to reschedule but charged a service fee for the change. As our new date approached we began to watch the weather a couple days before we were to head out. We live in an area where a tornado ripped through our city and demolished it 2 weeks ago. When we saw the weather forecast for Chattanooga calling for "large hail, damaging winds and some tornadoes possible " we began to worry. When I asked the owner for assistance and concern asking if there was anything we could do to reschedule we were told there was nothing further they could do to help. We opted to not chance driving in to that and lost every penny of the large amount of money we paid. We felt the owner had little compassion in even trying to work with us for a situation that was completely out of our hands. We weren't even offered a refund on a cleaning fee that wasn't used. We purchased the VRBO cancellation protection for the original trip but since we didn't call the insurance company with the date change the policy didn't transfer. We learned a hard lesson with this one.

Nice place but has some issues

1) Ants, I killed about a dozen black ants in my 3 days there. I found a can of ant killer under the sink, I think the property need to be professionally sprayed. 2) Coming in from the parking spot at night to the door needs some lights, there are a couple that are not very bright, I had to use my flashlight to make sure we didn't trip or fall, it is not a flat sidewalk to the porch. 3) The bathtub was very slippery, it needs a non slip mat. Those are must needs, below are issues but not as important as the 3 above. 4) The patio door windows had some film on them and made them look dirty and hard to see out of, either replace the old film or take the film off. 5) The deck need to be pressure washed and stained, looks bad and would last longer if cleaned and stained. 6) Charcoal grill cooking rack was rusted and needs to be replaced, also the vent levers, one is rusted shut. A new one should be bought and charcoal and lighter fluid should be provided or match light charcoal. To supply a charcoal grill and not the charcoal or fluid doesn't seam right. 7) No local TV, The only thing we could watch was Netflix because supplied, we watched about 6 Andy Griffins each night. No news or sports channels. 8) No toaster 9) No sharp knives, the few that were supplied were very dull, time for a upgrade. 10) More drinking glasses 11) Trim the bathroom door so it doesn't stick on the high spot on the floor. When you got to the bathroom in the middle of the night the door stops and hits you in the face. It is a nice place but defiantly needs some improvements before I can recommend it to anyone. Just my honest assessment.

Great location on Lookout Mountain. Cute cottage, well equipped with nice decor. Minutes to town and tourist attractions like Rock City and Ruby Falls. Be mindful that parking is by the street approximately 80 feet from cottage down a pretty rough, rocky path so everything you bring must be carried in and those with mobility issues may have difficulty navigating to/from the door.

Perfect for a couples get away

This was a great, no-fuss, cottage that had all the necessities and no fuss. The pathway isn't lit well at all, so if you arrive after sunset, make sure you have a flashlight! Other than that, the place was perfect. Loved every second spent there. Look forward to returning in the future!

Cute and convenient!

Absolutely wonderful cottage! Everything we needed and so clean and cute. We wanted to do all the things offered at Lookout Mountain and loved being able to easily go "back home" between things. My daughter and I both took turns sleeping on the pull out couch/bed. Had a couple little questions for the manager/owner and she was awesome about getting back to me with answers. I would recommend this vrbo and this owner/manager. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

Mountain getaway

Property was in a good location. I was cute and very clean. Owners have a nice book with suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Enjoyed being able to have a fire in the fire pit on the back and the privacy.

Cozy Mountain Getaway

Cozy cabin in great location

We had the best little getaway at Blue Ivy! Super clean, cozy cottage that is really close to all things Chattanooga. We loved the notebook of recommended restaurants, things to do, etc. What an unexpected treat to hike down to Sunset Rock for a gorgeous sunset. We would definitely stay here again!
