Great location, perfect outdoor area and boat lift. This is out second stay in this house. Huge problem with a flies and fly's in general. Had to go to the store to buy insect spray and plug-ins, which helped a little, but still very uncomfortable House in dire need for a good deep cleaning. Overall we had a good stay, we enjoyed it, hoping that insect issue is resolved so we can maybe come back next year.

Rustic house was charming but the local neighbor up lake kept us awake at night with blaring “rave”

Lovely lake experience, property not clean and outdated.

We were super excited about the lake stay. It was our first time to Lake Chelan. The house layout is a little weird and awkward for hanging out and it’s not really 5 bedrooms. There are only two true bedrooms and the rest are living space and attack space. It was also not clean inside or outside and very outdated. I reached out to Vacasa about it and they said they would send someone to clean as there was sticky residue in the sofa and end table but no one came.

Great location but poor customer service

We stayed here recently for a summer weekend on the lake and the location of the house and the large dock were the highlights of this property. The key box out front to let us in would not open, but they left the house unlocked so we could get in. Problem is that we had no key to lock up the place for the weekend. I was told that they would inform the local team about this, so we had no key for the weekend. The rooms are oddly arranged and have very low ceilings on the upstairs and downstairs bedroom. Two of our guests were over 6 feet tall and had to bend down anytime they were in these bedrooms. The carpet going down to the downstairs bedroom has a huge stain on it and the carpet is in need of a deep cleaning or should be replaced. The whole house, in fact, is in need of a deep cleaning. The most disappointing part of our trip was having to rely on Vacasa as the host of this property. I have to say that I was very unimpressed with them. My inquiry's would take weeks to get a response, and after waiting weeks for a response, the information I got back was not accurate. I have always had great experiences with the hosts of the VRBO's that we have stayed at, so this was very disappointing. Overall, we had a great weekend at the lake, but I will not be renting a property from Vacasa again in the future.

Solid rental

House on the lake, as advertised. I have very little to complain about, the dock would benefit from more routine maintenance, there are screws sticking out of the dock. The air conditioning in the top floor did not keep up with the heat when we stayed there. I would want stay here again.

For the price we paid I have concerns

Pros: the house was clean enough, the bedding was not too scratchy or motel like, there were plenty of rooms and a lot of space, this is a house that is on the lake. Cons: My sister paid almost $900 to spend two nights here this house should not legally be rented out to people with small children. The deck has a wire railing around it but several of the wires are broken, either hanging loosely or hanging off entirely. Most of the broken wires are located on the area of the deck that is above a concrete set of stairs leading down to the water. A crawling child like the one we brought could have crawled right through the broken wires and fallen down onto concrete steps or into the water, or a larger child could get their head through the loosened wires and have problems that way. Bedroom on the lowest floor has a door that leads directly outside, to the unfenced unsecured back end of the property. There is water access, anyone could walk up or look in from the neighboring docks or yacht club because the door has a large window with no curtains or blinds to cover it. There is also no deadbolt on this door, and no gate or fence to keep anyone from entering. The master bedroom has blackout curtains, all the other rooms have blinds with no coverings meaning they were all light by 5:30 a.m. The hot water in the kitchen tonight, I reached out to guest services no one ever replied to me. We had to go out and buy our own extension cord in order to use the only TV,.

Great Location on the Lake

I really enjoyed this property and we had a mostly wonderful two-night stay there. I gave it a 3 star though, because a really great element of the setting is the barbeque and the fire pit on the deck by the water. Unfortunately, each one of the three propane tanks was empty, so we could not have our barbeque or fire pit. We were told to contact the local contact in such a case, but all that did was get an apology and a promise to refill the tanks first thing the next day (which was meaningless to us). A drive to get a tank would be an hour round trip, so that was not feasible. I was left struck by how the management could allow all three tanks to run empty. That's a pretty basic thing. But as I said, otherwise it was a wonderful place. I also rated the property manager communication low as there simply was no way to engage the property manager in a timely way, although they were professional and nice when they responded.

Love this place!

We stayed at this house last year. We were pleasantly surprised to have air conditioning this year. It made the trip that much better. I love the location of this house. We would stay again for sure!

Great spot on the lake

Had a great time. Location is great for kids to do some swimming right in front of the house. It is a little tight upstairs for taller folks but house had a nice layout to make it work well for our family group.

The property was clean, plenty of dish and silverware, clean fridge and bathrooms. Great view of the lake and convenient deck access. Our party of 6 enjoyed the stay very much.

1 Star is best I can give

Safety issues: • Several nail heads sticking up on the dock, posing a trip/cut hazard in a high traffic area of the dock. • Advertised slide is very unsteady and is not fully attached to the dock. Does not meet expectations: • This home has a serious ant problem. Ant traps are full of ants suggesting that they have not been changed recently. Ants are all over outside, and inside in the kitchen and master bathroom. We are unable to use the main counter in the kitchen because of the huge number of ants. Ants ended up inside of an infant formula container. • House is very dirty, and doesn’t appear to have had a deep clean in a long time. Bugs, cobwebs, dust, and grime are on nearly every surface. • Light bulbs from at least 3 areas throughout the house are either not working or missing. • Home is EXTREMELY hot in hot weather, due to no A/C. For a listing of this price, we expected to at least be equipped with appropriate fans to cool the house to a reasonable temperature. There were 3 large fan units that required water, and 1 good working fan in the house. The fan units that required water made the house extremely humid, causing concern for mold. These fans are essentially unusable. • Bare essentials inside the home will not get us through the week. We were provided 2 garbage bags for the entire home, for 1 week, and 5 dishwasher tabs. There was also only 6 rolls of toilet paper in the house. Again, this might be appropriate for a lower priced listing, but was very surprising to us. There should at least be instructions for travelers to bring these items if the property will not provide them. Listing not accurate: • 5 bedrooms are listed, but 2 “bedrooms” are actually connected without full doors or closets. Bottom “bedroom” has an extremely low ceiling, no closet, and no window coverings on the door. There are no windows that open in the bottom “bedroom”. And no window covering • No porch swing as advertised • 3 of the 5 star reviews on this listing are from the same person, with the same exact wording. This is very misleading and skews the overall rating associated with this home. Can not recommend this property at the price they charge

No AC

The patio and deck on the water was amazing. But the inside of house was not so much. The master bedroom was nice but all the other rooms especially upstairs was gross, smelled like some kind of meldue. No AC did not help. They had two old stand up fans. We luckily brought 1 portable AC from our house. There were also lots of ants. And ant traps everywhere. I loved being on the water and we stayed pretty much outside all day. But when it came time to sleep. No one wanted to sleep upstairs in the musky attic. House needs some upgrades. Pictures are accurate.

Not quite what we had hoped

The water and dock is great. There is no shade for most of the day. I am glad we brought pop up tents or we would have been miserable. There were no garbage bags which posed a problem for 10 people. We had to go to town and buy some. We kept seeing mice outside and on the deck. So gross. There is no A/C so the house, most the time, was hotter than outside and it was 97 outside. Some of our group would have slept outside but there were too many mice around to be comfortable doing so. Ironically, we had a good time but it wasn’t the most ideal stay.

Lake house

The house was fair in location and size for our family. We did notice that the house could have been a little cleaner like the carpet on the stairs.. We were not able to use the boat lift because it was set to high on the adjustments. But we did enjoy the scenery of the lake and sitting on the dock.

Vacasa was AWFUL. Don't rent as long as they use Vacasa.

There were a LOT of things really wrong, some frustrating - some dangerous. Before our trip, I called Vacasa to ask about parking. There isn't room for a tow vehicle, but they assured me we could use the boat launch next door and leave our tow vehicle in the parking lot there. When we got there, we weren't even allowed on the property with the boat launch, and were asked to leave. Not knowing where to go now, we called Vacasa back for ideas. I was in the ditch on the side of the road with my senior mom with a truck and boat, and they said they'd call me back in 40 minutes. I waited and NEVER got a call back. So we decided to park on the upper part of the property and wait for their call. Trying to get our things down to the house from the upper part of the property, my 2-year-old nephew disturbed a bee's nest on the ground and was stung 16 TIMES, my senior dad 8 TIMES. (We have bee allergies in our family, none the less!) In the house, there was food in the fridge, the floor unswept, and the beds had black dog hair IN THEM, so we had to wash the sheets before we could even go to bed. That night, my dad was bitten by a spider upstairs. Outside, there was SHATTERED GLASS ALL OVER the patio. My sister and i picked up two handfuls each and still three of our children got glass slivers. The house advertises a kayak and a red water slide. The water slide is INCREDIBLY unsafe, and the water hookups are long gone, and the kayak had a huge hole and was unusable. Lastly, the propane tanks were both nearly empty. In the binder, is said to call and they would happily deliver more. With two days to go, we called for more and they said they would bring them by within the hour, but they never came, and we never got a call. I reached out to Vacasa about these issues, and not only will they not even refund our cleaning fee, they didn't even apologize...AND DIDN'T EVEN CALL ME BACK AGAIN. This is my 3rd year renting through Vacasa and it 100% will be my last.
