"Excellent location for all Newcastle has to offer, the downside being was a bit of street noise during the night, we were on the first floor though. Comfortable huge bed and nice white company toiletries. Good choice at breakfast and lots of freshly cooked to order options A good choice for central Newcastle"
Lumley Castle Hotel

"Perfect for couples. It was quiet with beautiful surroundings. We took a walk to the river from the castle, and it was quiet as though we had the whole grounds to ourselves. The food was delicious and the room was cozy with a spacious bathroom. We were lucky as there was a wedding on and as a result, we were treated to a nighttime fireworks display! For us a 10/10. But be mindful that there is no AC in the room - that didn't bother us but might be an issue for others. Also note it's worth checking if there are events on as we didn't realize that if we had arrived earlier, we could have gone on a tour of the castle and had afternoon tea. We are looking forward to visiting again."

"I let the hotel know it was my son’s birthday the day we arrive and they set out a little soemthing for him, really made his stay. Thank you very much Pool was lovely, changing rooms was very clean. Didn’t eat here so can’t comment on food"

"The hotel was great for what I was looking for. It was clean and airy and modern. The food in the evening was poor and unappetising. The gym and pool were well looked after and nice to use. It was a shame the lifeguard was talking to a friend throughout her time, lifeguarding the pool."
