10/10 Excellent

"Very nice hotel showing its sign of age. Elevator was in need of repair - many of lights in the buttons didn’t work, most importantly, the ground floor or number one. The elevator would also pause for what seemed a very long time maybe 20 seconds after reaching his floor before the door open. On the first few times using it it was very unnerving. The public areas were very clean with very upscale furniture throughout the lobby area. There was a massive outdoor garden with seating that I’m sure they use for special events. It’s an old hotel in a very upscale area that just needs some updating. Interestingly enough, the door to my room on the eighth floor did not have a deadbolt or a device like a chain or a bar to keep someone from getting in if they got past the door locked. I haven’t noticed that in recent memory."

"PROS: The desk attendant was very nice. Location was convenient. CONS: The hotel smelled very strongly of weed. It was OVERPOWERING throughout the entire building, day and night. The hallway carpets were very dirty and stained. The hotel was under construction. Men were working on the exterior, and this was not disclosed when I booked my room. All parking spots were roped off, and I had to park far away and carry my luggage all the way in. I went to my room and immediately noticed that the carpet did not look vacuumed, there were dark red stains on the floor by the bed, piles of something that looked like burnt candle wax and something brown splattered outside of the bathroom door. Bathroom and kitchen otherwise clean. Comforter on the bed smelled used, so I tossed it. In the a.m. the construction started at 6am. On a Friday morning. Is this legal? Men were on scaffolding right outside my window working on the brick. The noise was an issue; I had to work remotely while I was there, and it would have been nice to not be woken up at 6am to the sounds of construction and deal with the noise all day. I tried to get on the wi-fi and had to sign up for a Sonesta membership to access it. It still wouldn't work and I attempted to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. They said I had to come down. For the other day and a half, I was there, there was no one at the desk at all. The walls are very thin. I would NOT stay here again when traveling for work."

"Property is pretty and rooms are appointed beautifully. The shower looked a bit unloved, grout was dirty like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in some time. Front desk staff was professional though lacking customer service. From my experience staying at other hotels at the same price point, the level of customer service was underwhelming. I visited the restaurant on site, Park 600, and received the opposite in customer service. The bartender (Erika?) was wonderful! She was welcoming, engaging, took care of everyone. Mixed delicious drinks. The food I ordered was sub par. While I think the hotel is beautiful, I will stay somewhere else next time I’m in town. "

"The room was okay, very dark lighting, and very small window so you could hardly see anything. We found quite a lot of short hair on the bathroom floor. So it was not sparkling clean. We truly did not like the communal soap and shampoo dispensers by the sink and in the shower. That is extremely against any sterile rules. Post Covid and other viruses, no thanks! Even without Covid, how many hands that touched people's private parts and then the dispenser, that's a no no! Distasteful and not hygienic. The bidet toilet kept making strange noises and on and off leaked water. Again, I would not want to use it, not hygienic where so much public uses it. What if someone who used it last had an STI?"
