"This small hotel near the harbor began life in the 19th century as a warehouse that held goods being exported or imported into the city. Its location is its best feature: around the block from the New England aquarium, Fanuel Hall, Quincy's Mkt, the Freedom Trail, the Long Wharf where you can access whale watching expeditions and the hi-speed boat to P-Town. Service: excellent. The front desk staff are charming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Amenities: not many. No gym, pool or sauna. But, if you want to work out, they'll get you a day pass at the nearby Y. Drawbacks: no suites. The rooms are small, but clean. Wi-fi is very good. There's a restaurant off the lobby that serves brkfast, lunch and dinner, with full bar. Food is good, but no rm service. There's a handy Seven-11 right next door for snacks, sandwiches and drinks.Located a few blocks from South Station (train). A nearby water taxi can sail you across the harbor to Logan Intern'l. This was my third visit, and I highly recommend the Harborside."
