"I would highly recommend Pillows Boutique Hotel if you don't need to be in the heart of Chiang Mai, and want a luxury hotel for a budget price. The rooms were very nice, very clean, in a quiet area and only 10 minutes or so from central Chiang Mai by car. The only negative was having to go outside the hotel to smoke as there was no balcony, but that is a very minor inconvenience. The breakfast was included in the price and was very good, not a ton of options, but what they had was fantastic. I...
"Unfortunately the place wasn't represented well by the pictures on the site. Different decor and quality of space. We booked this place because of its pool and bathtub and weren't able to use either. The pool was shut down for maintenance from damage of floods we didn't find this out till we checked in if we new before hand we would have booked another place. "Nice, quiet hotel. May not look brand new and is an old building, not to many channels to watch on TV but it's clean, affordable and comfortable! The staff is amazing, friendly and the hospitality is wonderful! They help set up taxis for you, and you receive a free buffet style breakfast every morning! Will stay here again for sure. "

"Used to be a luxury gem, now abandonned and secluded where you will be the only guest in a kind of ghosty atmosphere, however in a unique setting and in a clean and spacious well decorated suite with big balcony. The hotel is right opposite Dara Dhevi which is an experience to see and visit for dining out. The hotel staff are in fact staff at the popular (japan + chinese) restaurant that is run from the same location. You will be left on your own."
