The best VRBO ever!

I have stayed in VRBO properties in the U.S., Europe and Mexicp and this was the best ever! Located in a lovely safe neighborhood this gem came fully loaded with great linens, jars of snacks and treats, a passel of games and a fully equipped kitchen.

The apartment is beautiful, so comfortable and on a nice quiet street. Some restaurants and bars in walking distance and very convenient to the L. I highly recommend!! We had a fantastic stay.

Great location

Great location walking distance of restaurants and some nightlife. Good neighborhood very safe college kids walking the streets not occasion. Are you really lazy lots of amenities more than usual in places like this and enjoyed our state would stay there again

Felt like home!

Our stay at your property was a great experience. Plenty of amenities to fit our needs. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe. We used Uber to get to things and it was a quick ride! I feel comfortable in recommending this property.

Dreamy home-away-from-home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Mr. Walsh was responsive, his offering was exactly like the listing - even better, actually! We were spoiled with all the amenities and small details that truly transformed this family trip into a joyously memorable experience. Convenient apartment for Chicago trip

Amazing family friendly location near city.

This was the perfect property to stay in for a family visit to the city. Lots of room to relax in a great neighborhood that was less than 15 minutes drive from all the major Chicago attractions. Host was wonderful to work with and really did have everything you could possibly need. Will definitely recommend to all our friends and family and stay here again next time we are in town.

City Winery

We stayed here for a concert at City Winery. Was located in a great area. We walked to dinner and dancing the first night. Next day walked to the blue line and went downtown for some sightseeing. Everything we needed was within a walk… great place!!!

Perfect place

We really enjoyed this home away from home. We had a girls trip to Chicago and this location was perfect. We enjoyed our morning coffee together before going into town. It was cozy and relaxing which is exactly what we needed. The amenities were perfect. It was very clean. And the little extras like snacks and chocolates made it even better.

Stylish, comfortable, lots of amenities

My friends and I thought John’s place was the perfect spot for our Chicago visit. John provided lots of amenities from coffee and supplies to toiletries, mirrors in every room, robes, games, and more. Two of the bedrooms were like little cocoons that made for a cozy sleep. The other was larger but equally comfortable. Everything was clean and John checked up on us throughout. The unit was a short ride to all the best stuff, too.

Great Stay

This VRBO was a great find that far exceeded our expectations. Lot’s of extra touches. Lovely neighborhood in Little Italy within walking distance to lively Taylor Street, the “L”, and a 10 minute drive downtown. Thank you John. We will be back!

Wonderful location and space

Everything was great! The host was responsive and there were many thoughtful amenities in the unit. While the VRBO “OneKey” sign in process to the website or app is a complete failure, the owner of the unit made sure we had everything we needed to get properly checked in and were comfortable.

Fabulous!

Everything was wonderful, one of the most charming places we’ve ever stayed in. Check in was easy, free parking space a definite plus, convenient to the train. Little Italy has many wonderful restaurants, try Stax and Eggsperience for breakfast/lunch and Rosebud for dinner. John was very responsive when we had an operator error using the coffee maker (yes, it works just fine….when the switch is on, lol; however, this was before coffee). Highly recommend staying at John’s lovely townhome.

Just a fabulous property! Ditto all of the positive comments in previous reviews! Great quiet safe neighborhood, great food options, so close to the Pink line Polk station and several bus lines that quickly took us right where we wanted to go. ( The $5 per day pass for the CTA was the best bargain of our stay.). Clean, spacious, bright, comfortable, attractive decor, thoughtful attention to details, kitchen and bathrooms well supplied with all needed items and little extras. Perfect choice for a Chicago stay!

Great property, great Chicago neighborhood.

We loved The Villa in Chicago’s Little Italy. The brownstone unit has been nicely modernized , and had everything we wanted from beds to linens to dishes. And well located in nice walkable Little Italy neighborhood , sandwiched between U of Illinois and the Rush /UIC Medical campus. Close to several upscale restaurants, and numerous casual spots. L station two blocks away , but you can also drive to downtown in 10 minutes. Also just 25 minutes to Midway Airport. Host John was friendly and responsive. We’ll be back!!

Fun in Chicago!

We were very happy with our stay here! This property provided us with a comfortable, cozy, clean, and convenient place to enjoy our time exploring Chicago. It's such a beautiful spot and in the middle of so many things to do. Many food options and things to explore within walking distance! If something is not, it is also a very short walk from a train station! With the apartment itself exceeding our expectations, the host John did as well. The commutation with John was great. He was very accommodating to all of our needs. All of his recommendations were spot on (food, activities, ect)! This added to our great time! We will definitely stay here if we are in town again. 10 out of 10!

Windy City Smokeout Stay

We were in Chicago to attend the Windy City Smokeout (music and food festival next to the United Center) on Thursday and Friday nights. We chose this VRBO because it was within walking distance (15 minute walk) to the United Center (where the event took place) and to a CTA train line (5 minute walk) to get downtown to the Loop to sightsee during the day on Friday. Five of us traveled together, and the unit was perfect for our needs both in terms of location and amenities in the unit. The host was very easy to communicate with before, during and at the end of our stay. The neighborhood seemed both safe and quiet. We had no trouble walking to and from the United Center for the two evenings we attended, and it was easy to get downtown and back on Friday during the day. The host provided us with street parking passes for both days so that our vehicle could stay parked the entire time we were in Chicago. Overall, this was a great place to stay during out time in Chicago.

Spouse needed a place to stay while I was hospitalized at Rush and a few a day where I recovered.

Best parts for location: very close to hospitals in the MD, train and restaurants. Apartment: off street parking for free!!, clean and comfy beds, had everything needed for cooking for a long stay or short. Best of all there are things that are included like K-cups (everything coffee, tea related and even cocoa), snacks, razors, feminine products, extra of everything like toilet paper and tissues. Tons of extra towels are available and even shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The beds were very comfortable and when I came back from being hospitalized, I nearly slept the entire day after. One of the bedrooms, bedroom 1, has a tv in it, even if it looked like just basic hulu. It was great to sit in bed and watch tv like in a hotel room and nod off to sleep. My husband and I will definitely be saving this place for convenience to locations we need to go to as well as comfort. If you are going to Chicago for a vacation and want to use the train/L, I highly recommend this VRBO. It’s less than 3 blocks from the L/train to get to the loop/downtown with very little fuss and far less than you will pay if you had to park down in the loop for probably $40+.
