A manicured park. Waves crashing along the Lake Michigan.

When you're here, you're given a bird’s eye view of Chicago’s Front Yard, or more commonly known as Grant Park.

Drop your bags in your private space, complete with cozy beds, sky-high ceilings, and expansive windows allowing sunlight to pour in.

Make your way to the fitness center for a quick workout and then grab a breath of fresh air on the rooftop.

Time to hit the pavement. Saunter the art-filled halls at the Art Institute of Chicago. Wander past the 19th-century mansions on Prairie Avenue. Then fill your belly at The Dearborn (we recommend the mouth-watering fish and chips). Trade your sneakers for your go-to night-out pair. Let your ears guide you to the bustling bars. Try a new cocktail. Or order a pint and join the locals as they cheer on the Cubs.

Working, relaxing, living. Our spaces have all the other essentials you need for your stay.

- Contact-free check-in
- Super-fast WiFi
- Fresh towels and bathroom essentials
- Pre-cleaning before your arrival

You access the property on Michigan Avenue. You are given a PIN or virtual key to access the front door.

Once you get inside the building, you walk all the way back to the service elevator because it is the only elevator that takes you to the 12th floor Penthouse floor.

Once to the floor, you walk to your apartment. Once in the apartment, you will find a modern space with one bedroom, a bathroom, a modern kitchen, and a living room equipped with TV.

You have private, full access to the unit, the shared rooftop, and the shared gym

The South Loop is such a dynamic mix of attractions and histories that the neighborhood tends to be seen as many different things to many different people. Consider the assorted areas that comprise the South Loop:

Much of its eastern edge is encompassed by the Museum Campus, an impressive collection of cultural treasures that includes the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium and Shedd Aquarium. This campus sits on scenic lakefront parklands that are an extension of Grant Park. With 319 acres of green space and recreational fields, Grant Park is known as "Chicago's front yard" to locals and also plays host to major city events such as Taste of Chicago, Chicago Blues Festival and Lollapalooza.

Jutting out further into Lake Michigan is Northerly Island, a peninsula sought out by nature lovers, while along the southern edge the sports fans know Soldier Field as the stadium for the beloved Chicago Bears football team. Meeting attendees are most familiar with McCormick Place, the largest convention center in the country, which is also in the immediate area.

And yet there are even more facets to the South Loop. History buffs point out the Motor Row District along South Michigan Avenue and nearby Prairie Avenue District, the "Millionaire's Row" that was lined with mansions belonging to Chicago's most wealthy elite during the end of the 19th century.

In the adjacent Printer's Row neighborhood, urban loft condos now fill the commercial spaces in what was formerly the center of the Midwest's publishing industry. Connections to this past are still seen within the venerable, independent book store and annual summer lit fest here. But business professionals and students have brought new life and redevelopment (though the vibe remains mellow), filling the restaurants, music clubs, smaller theaters and museums that have all established themselves in the community.

We are very central and in close walking distance to the subway stops at Roosevelt and Harrison. We recommend NOT renting a car, and walking, ubering, and using public transit for your stay.

*There is a flight of stairs to access the elevator

Q: Is the neighborhood safe?
A: Very much so. 24 hours a day.

Q: Do I need to bring towels, a hair dryer, or linens?
A: Nope! we provide all these things. We also provide you and your guests with a starter pack of toilet papers

Q: When can I check in or check out?
A: Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. Early check ins can be difficult if there are guests who checked out same day. We ask for an early check-in, or a late-check out fee, if you request either.

Q: Is the Gym and Rooftop shared?
A: Yes, it is shared so please be respectful of other tenants and guests using the space.

Q: Can I come and go as I please?
A: Yes. And we wouldn't trust any listing with which this isn't the case.

Q: What about parking?
A: We don’t recommend driving because we are so centrally located. You may find a lot or garage nearby for $18-30 / night. There are multiple garages or valet services within 2 blocks.

Q: Is the place professionally cleaned between guests?
A: Yes, and we take pride in providing a clean home for guests.

Q: What's my total booking price?
A: We honestly have no idea. With fees included, it only shows the guest how much they pay. This figure should be present after you enter your dates. Note that, pricing varies on a daily basis, and it actually uses some crazy algorithm to adjust it automatically, so I don't actually control this.

Q: Are the beds comfortable?
A: Very. Some guests say they're the best they've ever slept on!

Great Location - near Buddy Guy's, near 11 City Diner, Harrison and Roosevelt L stations, Trader Joe's, the Lake, Art Institute, museums, etc. There are 45 degree angled views of both Sears Tower and the Lake/Navy Pier. There is also a roof deck on the lakeside that's a public space and has incredibly wonderful views. The apartment was small, not quite a tiny home, and it had everything I needed. I was just one person and I think they might limit to two or three total, and that makes sense giving the somewhat small layout. Thank you, hosts, for having such a great place available. I had a great time going to theater and museums, just walking around Chicago, taking the L, etc, and I plan to come back. Thanks again!

We loved our stay here! The location was great and accessible, and parking was close by. Grant Park and Millennium Park were within minutes! The property itself was so dreamy and made our stay feel like a second home. A bonus was that everyone in the building was so nice and friendly, too! Book this place and you won’t regret it!

The unit is on the top floor with easy access to the roof balcony - a great view of the lake and the Saturday & Wednesday fireworks. It is a cosy place, with washer / dryer when you walk in, a nice bathroom, not cramped or crowded at all, and clean with plenty of towels if you want to take a second shower one day. The bedroom is close and the bed comfortable, fitting a lot into a small space. The mattress is comfy and didn't transmit a lot of motion from my partner's moves. And the kitchen/living area are very nice. Comfortable sofa and complete kitchen. Dishwasher is quiet, we ran it twice, and we had plenty of outlets for our electronics. The TV got the LG channels so we could stay on top of a couple shows we watch, and had some streaming services. We were able to bring our puppy, and the immediate access to Grant's Park was a blessing - we were able to get to the ground floor and to the park in minutes which was great in the mornings and afternoons. Our hosts were wonderful and communicative. We loved working with them. We even told them about some of the building issues we saw, like a leaking roof in the hallway, a broken lockbox and faucet handle, and they were very appreciative.

Hi, we were in Chicago for a conference and then a few days of sightseeing. You cannot beat the location of this apt. It is walking distance to downtown and to the beautiful parks along the lake, and to so many other great places. No shortage of restaurants nearby and great coffee!! The building is an historic one--site of the publishing of Jet and Ebony magazines, so this is truly a Chicago landmark. Given that, we were a bit disappointed at the upkeep of the building. For example, the rugs in the hallways were quite stained and dirty. One must take the stairway up from the 11th to 12th floor (unless using the service elevator, which was pretty dirty on our arrival when we had our luggage, so that was the only time we used it.). The stairway also had some trash on the floor that was not cleaned up in the week we were there. The apt itself was fine. It was clean. A bit untended in terms of some wear on the walls, but really it was fine. I would suggest some additional hooks for hanging towels and clothes. Also, a full length mirror would be a nice addition. The little view of the lake from the living room window was nice. All in all, this is a fine place to stay in a great neighborhood in Chicago, which is such a great city!! Thanks

Access is via a service elevator that is used for trash as well as people. We frequently shared the lift with flying insects. The fob to enter the unit is in a lockbox. There is only one fob. If people are going to return at differing times they ask you to put the fob back in the lockbox. During our entire stay, the lockbox did not lock so we would be leaving the unit open had we followed these instructions. Despite numerous communications with the property manager, it was never fixed despite assurances that it would be done. The security block above the deadbolt on the door was sheared off and no one had made any effort to repair it. While there, a maintenance worker came to repair the broken dishwasher. He could not and would have to arrange a service from GE. The faucets were falling off the kitchen sink and the one in the bathroom was loose as well. The location was great, the bed was comfortable, and we felt the building was safe. Given our problems I do feel we are entitled to some form of compensation for the condition of the unit.
