"We love staying on the Gunflint Trail and this cabin is in a secluded area (helps to have 4 wheel drive in the winter) with great access to local trails for hiking and snowshoeing. The host is very responsive and easy to work with. We love the amenities, especially the gas fireplace."

"Lovely remote lodge in beautiful area. The room is small, but well appointed. You will lose cell seevice on the gorgeous Gunflint Trail, so make sure you have saved your check in instructions beforehand. Note that many lodges on the trail have restaurants, but not this one, so bring food with you before you arrive. They are last on the trail except a campground, so once you’re here, you’ll need to have everything. I came thinking I might get to see the Milky Way since it’s so remote, but there is an adjacent parking lot for lake access with two large streetlights, so it’s not as dark as you might expect on the property itself. The beds are comfortable, shower works well, and staff is friendly! Walls between rooms are thin, so you will hear your neighbors, but they were respectful. "

Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed and Barbara and Ted were very gracious hosts. We truly did not want to leave! The tiny kitchen needed a little more light but worked perfectly for meals for two. "
