Chincoteague is a best kept secret as far as beach towns go - loved the vibe here, quiet and unassuming with great eateries, ice cream shops, and adjacent to the beautiful assateague island. Easy bike ride to everything.

Loved seeing the wild horses. The beach is great and the hiking trails in the refuge are fantastic. The bungalow was cool, nice and relaxing. The only downside was there was no place to hang or put clothes. Some hooks in the bedrooms would be nice.

I love the town , so much history with the horses and the fishing town... The best part of the town is that its a local town and not a expense tourist location, it looks like it did 50 yrs ago...

While nothing is oceanfront, the ocean is not far away at all maybe a couple of miles. The whole town smells of the ocean as soon as you get on to the bridge and that is probably the one thing that just strikes my memory as a child at the beach

We really loved the wildlife refuge, the ice cream at Island Creamery, as well as the cute shops and other delicious food. Not too far from home, but far enough. We loved Chincoteague!
"Great location- close to Carnival grounds. Nice water view. We were on the first floor so we could hear people above us walking around but it didn't bother us too much. Breakfast service was good and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and dock. "
"Nice and clean room, hotel is close to food and water. AC a little noisy. Staff very kind and helpful. Good breakfast. Easy parking. Good wifi. We had a very pleasant stay, thank you!"
