The Space:
Gem on the Hill by Tiny Away , also known as Chin Chin Farm, is nestled in the quiet countryside of Chintin, just an hour from the vibrant city of Melbourne. Perched on a hill and surrounded by tall trees and native woodlands, this rustic retreat offers stunning panoramic views and overlooks a tranquil, spring-fed dam.
Nearby attractions include Lerderderg State Park, Woodlands Historic Park, Forest Glade Gardens, and Hanging Rock Winery—perfect for day trips and local adventures.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home,"Gem Near The Daml," available with 24 hours' notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the tiny house, paddocks 4-5, and the forest.
There is a 5-minute walk from the parking spot to the tiny house. Upon arrival, guests have access to a trolley to assist them in carrying their belongings to the tiny house.

Escape to Gem Near the Dam by Tiny Away, nestled in the hidden gem of Chintin—just an hour from Melbourne, yet a world away. Tucked within the scenic Macedon Ranges, Chintin offers vast woodlands, rolling hills, and breathtaking outlooks.
This cozy retreat is close to many local highlights, such as Mount Macedon Walks, Trentham Falls, Hanging Rock, Riddells Creek Farmers Market, and the Lancefield Brewery. For panoramic views of the area, don’t miss a stop at Camels Hump—especially for a unique vantage point over Hanging Rock.

- No smoking on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No children allowed due to agricultural work
- Please be advised that we have livestock on our property

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional
charge

We also offer food packs for your convenience:
- Our breakfast pack is $40 (min. for 2 adults) and includes two quiches made with local eggs, two Millet Road Maker sourdough crumpets, honey, and locally roasted coffee.
- Our dinner pack is $120 (min. for 2 adults) and includes four lamb koftas, salad, cheese, olives, flatbread, bushfood relish, a chocolate brownie, and a bottle of local wine.
Important note:
- Our tiny homes are fully off-grid, so please bring portable power banks and conserve energy to avoid running out of electricity. Charge your devices in advance, especially on low-light days.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
