The hotel staff were very helpful and responsive but stretched and had to rush between guest enquiries. The location has history of the New Zealand Airforce. Ample parking. The dampness through the old windows is offset to a certain extent by the underfloor heating in the recently renovated toilets but the corridors are cold. The common toilets downstairs were not cleaned for a couple of days after a function. There was no coffee available for a couple of days as the machine had broken down.

This was an amazing hotel! We really enjoyed our stay here. Loved the history too. Room was very clean nicely updated. Loved the heated floors in the bathroom. Great food offerings in the restaurant . Enjoyed our stay so much!

Wigram is a lovely heritage building but the rooms are a mixture of modern and heritage. The room was cosy and we had a lovely comfortable bed and the temperature was just right in the rooms. The staff were amazing and when we were delayed on our travels they took the initiative to try and contact us through expedia to make sure we were okay. We hope we will get the chance to stay there again for more nights as it is only 15 minutes from the centre of Christchurch, airport, antartic centre and near the air museum.
