Love this resort, revisited 30 years after our first visit. So fun. Owner's hosting of a garden walk where she discussed the beautiful trees and plants on the grounds was an exceptional experience. Room was close to a pool and the Caribbean and was outstanding. Free breakfasts were exceptional and views breathtaking. This is still a family owned resort with a golf course. Dinners were consistently good with several locations to choose for dinner. For a low-key, island-easy place to experience St. Croix, I highly recommend this resort.

The resort was beautiful and the staff were so attentive and nice, the food onsite was great but limited. I’d say the only thing that would’ve made it a little bit better is more activities on site. We would definitely come again.

We were there for a week. Great resort with tons to do. Beaches were awesome, amenities were plenty and food was delightful. Really enjoyed the trip and the vacation. Deffinitly worth a return trip.

The resort is nicely spread out so very quiet. The ocean side room was nice but no kitchen, only a small dorm refrigerator and pod coffee maker. No comfortable furniture to relax on other than the bed. Very clean and serviced daily. The complimentary breakfast is great. We were there at a slower time and not all restaurants were open or serving the full menu. They automatically add 20% gratuity to all purchases which I do not agree is the best way. I like to reward good servers with a meaningful tip and those that do not perform as well should not get the same reward for doing their job poorly. Most of the wait staff, cleaners, etc were very good, with only a few exceptions.

Old school sea side resort near the town. The hotel has everything you need, with several restaurants and bars both on and off the beach - I don’t play golf, but it looked like a great course.

Gorgeous property but too spread out. We were in a room along the ocean but had to walk about a quarter of a mile each way to the beach and breakfast. The pool near us was closed for renovations so we would have had to drive up or request a courtesy shuttle up to the main house in order to use it. Not a very convenient situation. The Terrace restaurant was closed so for dinner we had to eat in the rear restaurant. Disappointingly, there were only 6 entries available to choose, of which 2 were hamburgers. We were told that the limited choice was due to renovations. Food was quite expensive.. entree plus 1 drink each per couple including mandatory 20% tip…$180. But.. food on the entire island is expensive. Will say the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Special mention about “Claude” the courtesy van driver. Lastly the beach and water were spectacular.

This resort is AWESOME! Staff is super friendly and absolutely stunning views - well maintained - the owner Mrs. Elizabeth’s weekly Nature History Tour was an added bonus. She is very passionate about and very involved here at the Buccaneer Resort . Will for sure be back !

We had our wedding here. Very happy with that process and the staff’s assistance. Every staff member we dealt with was great. Dinner at the resort seemed expensive. Food was ok. Again, staff were great. We stayed in two different rooms. They were large and comfortable. Cleanliness was ‘ok.’ Not great. AC in one room super cold, the other, not so much. The beaches were fantastic. Property overall was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.
