"This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station...

Kenji-san provided such a cozy comfortable stay on his organic farm with a one of a kind view of the Setouchi Inland Sea or as he calls it “the Japanese Mediterranean”. Kenji kindly gave us tour upon arriving and showed us all the facilities including a traditional cedar tub and we shared very engaging conversation on the drive to and from the property. "I feel bad leaving a negative review because the staff were very friendly, and they were doing their best with limited resources and staff, in an old building. I guess the owner doesn't feel like spending any money on the place. Aside from being sandwiched in between a loading dockyard and massive, smoke-producing factories, the view was nice (if you looked straight ahead).
