Gite with pool & fab gardens 5 mins from quaint village with restaurants & shop

"Lovely gite in a very quiet area. The gite was very clean on arrival and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Lots of storage in the bedrooms and it was great having 2 bathrooms. As we stayed for 2 weeks we were provided with fresh linen and towels for the second week, which was really appreciated. The pool was excellent and very refreshing, especially as we stayed during a heatwave and the temperature was topping 38oC. We couldn't keep our boys out of the pool! The gite is very short walk (less than 5 minutes) away from the local shop and restaurants. We were lucky enough to attend a night market in the square, which is a great experience. A car is a must in order to visit the other nearby villages and towns.Unfortunately, because of the heatwave, the gite was very hot and uncomfortable at times. Fans were provided, which did give us some relief, but it is something to be aware of if staying in the summer months, especially with ongoing climate change. Also, the mosquitoes are an absolute nuisance. The gite owners have been really proactive by installing nets on all the windows, but when you go out you can get bitten even with deet on!Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the gite. Just wish it had been a little bit cooler!"
Stunning Dordogne riverside villa with heated salt pool, 10min walk to Tremolat

"We had the most wonderful holiday ever in Donald's amazing property on the river. The house is just gorgeous, very comfortable and kitted with everything you could need or imagine. Lovely beds, lovely bathrooms, and a really super kitchen. Outside, the pool is heavenly in the Dordogne heat, and there's always the river at the bottom of the garden to swim in or canoe on. The grounds are well cared for, with mature trees offering shade if needed, and herbs and fruit for the picking. A 10-min walk away across the bridge is the charming village of Trémolat and some really fab restaurants, and there are many more high quality restaurants within short driving distance. Don't miss the awesome 20,000-year-old cave paintings at Lascaux IV, a 50-min drive away. In summary, Donald's house is just perfect, a haven of tranquillity and peace in a beautiful part of France."

"Notre séjour avec enfants et petits-enfants -nous étions 19- fut excellent : beauté des lieux, variété des activités permettant à la fois d'être tous ensemble ou de se retrouver qui à la piscine, qui au ping-pong, qui à la pétanque... Aucun souci de confort.Ce beau domaine des Falaises en pleine nature nous a aussi permis de découvrir les beaux sites environnants. L'accueil était plein de promesses et elles ont été tenues !"

"Superb hosts. Elly and Sebastian are the most friendly and welcoming people who made our stay so memorable. Nothing was too much trouble, they have excelled and work so hard to keep the place as beautiful as it is. The place is simply stunning, everything was perfect and the pool was amazing. Would highly recommend any of their rentals at their luxury Manor House. "
