"Excellent stay! Amazing location - in the city centre within a few minutes walk to the Archeological museum, with lots or shops & restaurants around. The property itself is very charming, just how I like - refurbished in boutique style inter with authentic antique vibe. The staff is super friendly. Much more charming than a regular hotel or resort! Thank you!"

"Great spot! So much to see around the area. Parking was a bit tricky, go to the Themes Parking which is roughly 800 feet from the hotel. It’s 15 euros for the whole day but conveniently located. The area around the hotel was amazing! So much to explore. Breakfast in the morning was top notch! Felt very taken care of! "

"Capsis Astoria is very conveniently located. It’s on the bus route to and from the airport so getting there is 1.20€. It’s also next door to the Heraklion archeological museum and on the bus route to Knossos. There are multiple restaurants nearby ranging from casual cafes to fine dining. We highly recommend Pemptos Ntore restaurant just across the way on the fifth floor. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, letting us check in when we arrived at 11 am. The breakfast is substantial. We enjoyed sitting at the pool and having a drink. They have a small version of a Greek windmill on the roof. Very Instagram friendly. We recommend it highly."

"I loved this property. Nice breakfast offered and a comfortable room with a big king bed. The shower and toilet are in two separate closet type areas at the foot of the bed with the sink and vanity between them. A bit weird, but it works. My one complaint with this B&B as well as most of the B&B‘s in Crete was the plastic mattress protector that they use on the mattress. I can never sleep through the night without waking in a soaking sweat when they are used. I would like to suggest quilted fabric mattress protectors for the hotel. Much more upscale and can be laundered easily. It is a bit unfair to pick on this one Hotel regarding this issue because it exists in most of them. This hotel is in a great location and it’s a fun place to stay."
