"We enjoyed a night in the charming town of Orvieto between touring Rome and Florence. The Hotel Duomo was clean, comfortable and located just off the central square. The staff were helpful and welcoming and they provide a very nice breakfast. One note - if you need a taxi to the train station, ask for it to come 15 minutes earlier than you actually need. Our 8am taxi arrived at 8:15 and we missed our train to Florence unfortunately. "

While the walk to and from the property was a bit challenging for a traveler with heavy luggage, the warm-hearted people of Orvieto helped me so much that I felt nothing but happiness throughout my stay. "Simonetta was delightful and explained everything very well. When we needed her she responded quickly. The little house is adorable and had everything we needed. The view- Fantastic!! A lovely patio and chairs to sit on as we sipped the wonderful wine from her vineyard and enjoyed the view. We also enjoyed meeting her son who runs the wine shop and helped us decide with our tastings. Orvieto is an ancient city not to be missed. "
