"Clean room, great staff, right in the services so plenty of options to shop and eat…. That said the room I had was above the entrance and smokers outside left a horrid smell in the room as they smoked directly beneath my windows Staff attentive and knowledgeable plus a good breakfast with a good selection. A real surprise as I am normally very impressed by service area hotels but this was good and good value"

"Room was very dusty. The wardrobes had inch thick dust on them, the pots and pans had what looked like hardened grease in them. We had 1 knife to cut things with which was broken. The freezer compartments were all broken. We stay here every year and it’s progressively getting worse and worse. The tv in the bedroom didn’t want to connect to the internet and the heating stopped working. When we called the front desk to let them know they said we are checking out tomorrow like it was ok - who cares I’m cold now I need the heating to work while I’m still there. "

"Pre-booked dinner for 2000. On arrival at hotel at 1830 nothing known. Only available table was 1845 so went straight to dinner. All evening there were empty tables near me so I could easily have had a later booking. When I went up to my room reported this to reception. Was promised a response. Nothing heard. Frequently stay at this hotel."

"Staff amazing. Hotel stunning. Only downside we could hear everything from the room next door, and all the footsteps from upstairs. "

"Sadly I did not have the best experience whilst staying here. Firstly there was very loud party music being played late at night in the garden beneath my room window despite there being no one there. I tried to call reception to ask them what time it would be switched off but my room phone wasn’t working. I then left a message on my booking page, no response. I then found the hotel number to ring from my mobile but the website stated they were closed so I wasn’t sure I would get a response. Someone thankfully did answer, I told them about the music and they said they would switch it off, which they did. I do think the staff forgot to switch it off and had I not called it would have continued right through the night! Shower did not drain so I needed to keep switching it off to allow draining to avoid floods. I tried to make a cup of tea but the milk in the fridge was 3 days out of date so I couldn’t use that. Overall not the best stay! :( "
