"The staff did not care that my daughter was recovering from a medical emergency and wouldn't give us a timeline on how late they were going to be in having the room ready.
My daughter had a severe allergic reaction at lunch and was heavily drugged and nauseated. I went in at 3:30pm asking if we could get in early so she could lay down while we watched her. They said no since checkin was at 4pm but had me do the paperwork ahead of time so we could get her in immediately.
I showed up a few minutes before 4pm and they were checking in others and handing out room keys (including another large family probably in the same 2 bedroom suite). When I got up there they told me the room was not ready on time but couldn't give us an estimate (not even to the closest hour!). I asked if they would call me when ready, and he snarky replied he didn't have my phone number (he had me enter it on the earlier paperwork). Half an hour later my daughter had to come in and lay down on the foyer couch to get out of the hot car and at 40 minutes when he still wouldn't give me an estimate I cancelled so we could go elsewhere. As we're leaving, he offered us cold water. No offer for her to come in and wait out of the heat, no offer for refreshments as we waited, no offer for letting us know when it was ready (I had to ask for that), no updates, no apologies, no offer for discounts, etc... He had only offered to move us to separate (more expensive) rooms where we couldn't keep an eye on her."
