"We loved our stay at Bear Pause Retreat. Comfortable, quiet, beautifully, and comfortably decorated with all the right amenities. The AC kept things cool, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the enclosed porch was perfect for morning coffee—especially with our Beagle safely by our side!Great host, great communication. "My family and I stayed here for our annual Poconos trip and this was a great house! This was our tenth year doing this and I have to say this house was one of the best houses we’ve stayed at, and had basically everything we needed. The community is great and you can’t beat the views of the lake either! "
"This house had it all it was perfect for our family Stay the kids enjoyed the arcade machines, and playing pool and jumping off the dock into the water while the adults enjoyed sitting around a fire or watching the sun come up from the deck while we enjoyed our coffee.We were able to use the kayaks and canoes for a short paddle to see two huge, bald eagle nests full of babies, and the two parents flying aroundWe arrived on July 4th and were treated to a spectacular fireworks display that evening.We enjoyed the day, renting a boat at the nearby lake. As well as a day at the claws and paws zoo right around the corner.There’s a grocery store right around the corner or if you prefer a little bit more shopping It’s about a half hour drive to Scranton.Owner was very friendly and very accommodating would absolutely return to this property again."
