"The property has everything you need for a family vacation. The house is spacious and clean with beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for a large family dinner or barbeque. The kids enjoyed playing in the game room and kayaking on the lake during the day and then making s'mores at the fire pit when it got dark. We caught a variety of fish... rock bass, yellow perch, pumpkinseeds and sunnies. My favorite thing to do was just sit and watch from the lawn or the deck. Very peaceful area to relax and get away from it all. The location was excellent, also. We visited "Claws N Paws" animal park that I would recommend to families. The grandkids went horseback riding for the first time at a riding place nearby and liked it so much, they went twice. Thank you to our host, Tom, for a lovely stay!"

"The house sits beautifully on the lake with amazing sunsets to enjoy. A motorboat, kayaks, and paddle boards all come with the house price. The whole family can be out on the lake together. Gavin was very quick to respond to any questions, a great host!Our family had a wonderful vacation at Poke a Nose!"

"This was a small family / reunion for 10 people from 4 households. The outdoor areas were as represented in pictures with beautiful decks, landscaping, water areas and water toys. We were not able to use those areas the first two days due to cold rainy weather. That forced us indoors which did not live up to its advertising. We were greeted with a 57 degree indoor temperature in a living room that we found out later had a known inoperative baseboard heating. A fireplace we were told was the main source of heat for the upstairs living room. Unfortunately it would not work as the pilot was out and per the house manual required prayers to light.The management company finally sent someone out to get it working at the end of the second day. The fireplace needs some significant cleaning. We found many other issues the first day, three items, not mentioned here, that if you read past reviews had not been addressed in 10 months. The other items were a jammed garbage disposal, upstairs shower handle not working, lower room closet door knob broken, 4 out of 5 pool cue sticks with no tips, laundry room closet doors hanging off rails, dishwasher kickplate kept coming loose, upstairs sofa couch you could not sleep on because mattress was so thin, springs dug into your back. The house manual is in need of some updating also.If you are there during warmer months and are into water activities and use of the subdivision amenities it could be a great house if they would maintain it."

"Great spot for a group of people. The house is spacious and well furnished. Loved the main bedroom mattress.Everything was clean. The Hideout is a great spot to visit, just make sure you're there when things are open.There was a minor issue with the hot tub but the host had someone there in less than half an hour to fix it. They even offered to let us use one across the street. That's what made the trip, the fast response and willingness to make things right from the host."
