"Good amenities and grounds. Hotel is really showing its age, especially the rooms. Mine was very dark with a tiny bathroom. Lots of little imperfections and stains on the carpet. Definitely not worth the money I paid, £115 + for the night, solo traveller."

"The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly when required. The room was a really good size. However, the rooms are in need of some serious updating! We had 2 plug sockets in our bedroom which were on the other side of the room. The balcony was filthy, leaves twigs etc all over the floor. "I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free.
