"This place is a gem. It was an excellent Basecamp for us to explore the west part of Ireland. The home has an amazing view, the bedrooms were lovely and well maintained. The kitchen had a large oven and microwave for us to cook. There were plenty of plates and utensils for the family. The washer and dryer were key as it allowed us to pack less and allow for more souvenirs . We stopped in LIDL for all cooking needs.I would recommend and would love to come back. "

"Staff were nice, beds very comfortable and the brook outside the window made sleeping a dream. Could do with some updates here and there but otherwise a lovely stay."

"The cottage was charming, and we enjoyed our visit with our baby. The house was spotless, cosy and comfortable, even though we missed having coal to light the fire. The price is a bit high per night, but it was worth it."

"We stayed in Trish's house over the October long weekend as part of a group and really enjoyed it. The house is in a fantastic location with views out over the sea and to the mountains and nearby places to eat like Keoghs and the Connemara Sands hotel. The house itself was very comfortable with 5 big bedrooms and a large cosy modern kitchen come dining/sitting area. Everywhere was spotless and the house was super warm at all times. Trish went out of her way to keep in touch and make sure everything was ok. I'd highly recommend staying here, you get the benefits of a private location but will all that Connemara offers nearby"

"It truly was a gem for us. The home was bright, airy, and spotless. The kitchen was so well-organized that we never had to wonder where anything was. We spent most of our indoor time in the kitchen and dining area — the large table was perfect for meals, games, and activities.Mary was exceptionally responsive and quickly sorted out the minor issues we faced upon arrival (we came during Storm Amy, so there were a few temporary electricity and water disruptions). The beds and linens were clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest.The location is beautifully secluded, with dark skies at night — perfect for stargazing. The surroundings were truly picturesque; we only wished the weather had allowed us to enjoy dinner outdoors facing the lake.We’d definitely love to return if we visit the country again."
