I should probably have said Classic rather than older in the title but you shouldn’t expect this to be a brand new hotel. Excellent breakfast, great staff and a real pub downstairs. Have stayed at the du Vin many times on work trips to Bristol. I love the shower(!!) - but proportions of the room, the layout, the bed, the sheets and pillows - it’s all just right for me.

This was truly an authentic overnight stay in a castle built in the early 1500's. The castle was amazing by itself, but our room, Henry VIII, was an experience by itself! It was exactly what we had hoped for and more than we expected. The bedding and towels were outstanding as was the comfort of the bed. The shower was also great plus there was a jacuzzi tub.
