"Another visit to the Talbot Hotel Cork. Aoife greeted me at reception with a smile and a warm welcome. I was given a suitable room, as requested. It was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The food served in the restaurant was tasty, hot and served in good time. Keira took my order and was very friendly and professional. The restaurant manager, Leonard, was very professional and courteous. Overall, the team provided excellent professional customer service."

"Overall it is a great hotel staff are lovely and our room with balcony was great. We had a lovely meal in bar. Although room was great with comfy bed if we were staying more than 2 nights there isn't much space for clothes. Music was very good. Breakfast was dissapointing most items were cold and not much choice if you didn't want a cooked breakfast"

"Great central location. Very nice room. Only notes would be for older or disabled folks, there is no elevator ( lift ), and on a Saturday night, rightfully the town was quite lively and music thumping until midnight. Worked great for us, but not a quiet / easily accessible room. Staff was great and again, could not be more centrally located. We got very lucky with a parking spot right across the street. €1.50 per hour ( 2 hour max ) until 18:00 and then free all day Sunday."

"Sea Spray is a unique property right on the edge of the ocean. Tastefully designed, with interesting wall art and artefacts. It is equipped with every gadget you can imagine - it was a joy to cook here. Huge comfy beds with high quality linen, you can fall asleep in the master bedroom listening to the rolling sea waves. Ballinglanna is a peaceful area with a small harbour just beside the property, we swam everyday, it was glorious. There are several breathtaking walks in the area and plenty of information leaflets with ideas for exploring. The main town Clonakilty is one of the prettiest and cleanest places to visit, I would recommend the PIKE deli for mouthwatering cakes and pastries. Our favourite coffee / lunch stop was the Green DOT. The Clonakilty visitor centre is a must - arrive hungry as they provide you with tea and cooked products after the tour. If you need food supplies go to the enormous SuperValu, it’s a flagship store. Returning to Sea Spray after a day out feels like coming home, everything works, all is calm and the sea view is mesmerising. We were sad leaving but will definitely book this gorgeous place again. Thanks to Angela who was always on hand to help with queries."
