Welcome to Ridgedale. A tri-level apartment duplex with amazing wooded views located in the heart of the Shawnee Wine Trail. Perfectly located in the middle of everything Southern Illinois has to offer. Select this A side, B side or book both sides for small groups. Perfectly located less than 10 minutes to the Makanda Boardwalk and Giant City State Park. Fifteen minutes to StarView, Blue Sky, and Feather Hill Wineries. Thirty minutes to Bald Knob Cross and the Shawnee National Forest.
A three story apartment featuring clean, spacious rooms with two bathrooms and sleeping accomodations for four people. Amazing wooded views from a quiet patio, balcony or porch.
The top level offers a bright living room space, large Roku smart TV, and a bathroom with walk in shower. The closet space has all the bedding and pillows for the Queen sized sofa sleeper for two on this level.
The middle level bedroom has a comfy King sized mattress with linens, very large closet space with hangers, folding luggage rack, extra pillows and blankets. A sliding door with room darkening curtains leads to a beautiful balcony. There are chairs overlooking the woods where you may be visted by lovely hummingbirds. A full sized bathroom with a shower/tub, plenty of fluffy towels and toiletry essentials is also on this level.
The lower level is the full kitchen space with table and chairs, refrigerator, oven and microwave. Also provided are pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensels, coffee pot and a toaster. We even provide coffee and creamer in case you forget yours. The spacious concrete patio features an outdoor table, chairs and a propane grill with a view of the woods.
We think you will enjoy the peace and quiet that Ridgedale offers. Combined with the location and amenities offered, we hope you enjoy your stay.

It was very nice inside and well kept. We liked the location, it made it convenient for the activities we were in the area for (Wineries, hiking). The water had a strong sulfur(rotten eggs) smell to it, we brought bottled water. Showering was an experience with the smell. The TP disposal wasn't something we've had to deal with before, seems like they could've provided septic tank ready TP like they do with campers. This is a tri-level structure which made for a lot of stair climbing. We would have preferred a different lay out than this

I stay at this property was excellent. The host were always attentive if something was needed and went above, and beyond to ensure the place was clean and orderly upon my arrival. I would not hesitate to rent this place again.

Nice cabin!
We spent the weekend at John and Pam’s cabin. It was very clean and had plenty of room! It is close to the wineries, and easy to get there. You really do not have any more than 2 parking spots, so plan accordingly. It is a duplex cabin, so you share a balcony with your neighbors. It works out just fine, but would be great for a big party and rent both sides!

Relaxing getaway
Check in was simple and straightforward, the unit was clean and simply furnished, everything worked as it should. Proximity to hiking, shopping and, dining. I wouldn't recommend for someone who has difficulty with stairs.
