"This hotel is an old mansion and luxury boutique hotel. It is well kept and would be a great venue for a wedding. As an older hotel, it has shared spaces like sitting areas, bathrooms, game rooms, etc. It has old heaters in many rooms and a claw foot bathtub in the upstairs bathroom. It is in a safe neighborhood and very convenient to downtown Couer d'Alene. We were on the 3rd floor and had to climb up some narrow staircases to our room. The floors were a bit creaky, as you would expect in a historic building. It was definitely an experience you won't get with the corporate hotels.The hosts were friendly and made breakfast. The Blackwell was a unique experience! "

"Overall was good. No bedbugs in our room. Ants however were present but only about 5 were spotted. The free breakfast left much to be desired. Hot tub will definitely knock you around if not careful. Ran out of towels as well. "

"We stay here regularly because it’s consistently exceptional. The staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are spacious with large bathrooms, and everything is spotless. Our family loves the pool area, and the location is perfect. The included breakfast is delicious with plenty of options. Highly recommended!"
