"The cottage was very clean, nicely furnished, and well-appointed (beds, linens, towels, kitchen, etc.). The only drawback for us was the passing vehicle noise as the cottage is situated just a few yards from a busy road. This apparently has not been an issue for majority of guests so maybe just us. Host(s) were great communicators and have done everything "within their power" to provide a wonderful stay."

"Carova Beach is magical - as if time stood still. In my opinion, this is one of the loveliest houses out there. It is SPOTLESSLY clean, it has everything you need and the old world style of the home is the icing on the cake. Couldn’t be any more relaxing. The beach is BEAUTIFUL and a two minute walk from the house. Be prepared! There is NOTHING in Carova Beach. Bring water and food unless you plan on going back and forth to the pavement which isn’t exactly easy. MIND THE TIDES when getting on...

"We enjoyed staying at KOA in Coinjock. The location is beautiful, the campground is nicely laid out, and our pet friendly cottage was clean and spacious! The only recommendation I would have is to call the campground to verify which amenities will be open and operational, and verify the pet fee. Our reservation said the pet fee would be $10/night, but we were charged $50. I think they should have honored our reservation, but the lady at the front desk said she couldn't do anything about it....

"House is great although it could have used a better cleaning. Screen doors will not stay in place, they fall out when opening. Terrible problem with ants in kitchen and downstairs table and bedroom. You cannot place food on counters. Actually found a couple ants in my car when I got home. I would definitely stay there again but the house just needs some work."

"My husband and I and our dog Luna stayed here for the weekend. It was the perfect location for what we wanted-a relaxing, comfortable, get-away weekend. We loved being in this part of Corolla, especially in the off-season. No traffic, easy access to uncrowded beaches for driving and hanging out. The cottage's location near Historic Corolla Park was perfect. We could walk across the road to see the sunset on the sound as well as climb the lighthouse for amazing views. "The only issue we had was with the little burrs (I guess that’s what’s their called) that kept finding their way inside the property. Very painful to step on. Other than that, we were very pleased with our stay here in Kitty Hawk."

"The management company, particularly Barbara, was very helpful and prompt in replying to all questions. Five stars for this! The house was spacious and accommodated our group of 13; however, the house is in need of updating. The dryer went out during our stay but was repaired but all appliances need to be upgraded. Pressure washing is needed for the exterior as we were unable to use the outdoor furniture due to the bird droppings and spider webs. Carpet is also in need of replacement. Although...
