"We stayed for an event at UEA and the location was perfect for this. Setting was beautiful in a small village with a river running through -great for an evening stroll. Our bedroom was very very close to the road which becomes a commuter cut through in the mornings. This did lead to some unwelcome traffic noise from around 530am. "
"A real pleasure. Fabulous surroundings, lots of colour, plenty to feast your eyes on. Comfortable room, excellent hosts, wonderful breakfast with so much variety and great quality. Lovely hosts, felt very welcome. "

"We had a lovely double room at the front of the hotel that was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and had a very good shower. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra pillows provided if we needed them. Our evening meal was delicious and excellently cooked. Breakfast was also really good in fact one of the best breakfasts i have had in a hotel for a long time. I had the Greek yoghurt with granola and fruit and honey which had lots of lovely fresh fruit in and my partner had the cooked breakfast, both were generous portions. It is a very old building and could do with a bit of a makeover in places but it was a busy hotel and seemed popular with the locals and the staff were wonderful, very attentive, polite and happy to help."
"Super friendly, helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Beautiful location. Dog friendly and convenient for walks from the hotel with access to Sheringham Park. The food was excellent, but not always consistent - I had sea bass on one day which was so delicious (and as described in the menu) that I decided to have it again on my last night, but it was no where near as good - missing the chives in the mash, the dill sauce on the fish and not served with peas all as described in the menu. I’m guessing it was a different chef on duty.
I was disappointed with a mix up/misunderstanding about my room - but I think that was because of Expedia, not the fault of the hotel. And the hotel did try to resolve it.
I will definitely return and will know which room to request next time!"
"Beautiful old building which has had good levels of investment into making it a fine hotel. Very well located in the centre of town but with plenty of nearby parking.
Well appointed, if small, rooms, attentive and welcoming staff although needed more staff at breakfast as many guests had to wait too long to be seated. Breakfast was excellent though, lots of choice and good quality."
"Stayed in room 17 of the Lawns annexe, a few minutes walk from the hotel. Room was large, quiet with superking bed and nice walkin shower. Parking on site. Breakfast was good and all staff friendly and helpful. Fresh milk for tea always a nice touch
Would have been handy to offer an umbrella in room as walk to hotel in rain not ideal Would certainly return"
